More about Judy

  • 32 years' experience
  • Female
  • LMSW

I am a social worker with over 30 years of experience. My undergraduate degree is in Business and Psychology, and I have a master's degree in social work.

My primary area of focus is working with couples and trying to help them heal their relationship. Through our work together we can hope to heal communication challenges and figure out how to build, or rebuild a healthy relationship. In addition...if a couple decides to end their relationship, together we can do this in a kind and compassionate way.

My approach to helping people is eclectic...which means I tailor the treatment to the needs of my clients. I have been trained to listen attentively and to understand what is being presented by people I am working with. I believe in the tenants of social work which stress confidentiality and treatment without judgment. My experience is that not every therapist is a good fit for every client but the right fit can be life changing.

I believe therapy is a gift someone gives to them self and it is an act of courage to understand that you need help and are willing to seek it. I look forward to helping you achieve your personal goals and help you have the peace of mind you seek.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Judy is a godsend. She helped me through some very dark times, and was very easy to talk with about any difficult issues, and provided great insights. I cannot recommend her enough.

Been a few weeks and has been an incredible experience, both Judy and online form of therapy. I can’t say this would be a great form of therapy if it weren’t for her. I have hope again because of Judy. She is kind and extremely attentive. I almost don’t want to write a good review because I don’t want to lose her attentiveness. I try to remember to have boundaries so I don’t bother Judy too much but she has never made me feel like I bother her and encourages me to keep in close contact. I can’t say enough good things about Judy and my experience.

Judy Goldsmith is an amazing person! The first time I spoke to her, she exuded warmth, knowledge, and understanding. Which is exactly what I needed then. She is an excellent listener, and doesn't make you feel like you are being judged. If in the future I need assistance, Judy is the one I'm looking for. And you should too.

I’ve really enjoyed working with Judy! I’ve talked to a few other therapists but none I’ve liked as much as Judy. She’s really helped me make some serious breakthroughs and she makes everything so easy to understand! Talking with her has really helped me understand why I was the way I was and helped me get to where I want to be. I even took a break from counseling for a while and came back when I needed help processing things again and it’s been just as helpful this time around as well!!
