I love how warm and personable she is, even on the phone. In our first appointment, she was already giving me tools for my anxiety. Highly recommend.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families for the past 11 years through Case Management and Social Work through Welfare-to-Work community programs and Women’s Housing Agency. I have the privilege of working with this same population therapeutically for 7 years. From Family-Based Services, Residential Treatment, Community Outpatient, and now Private Practice. My wholistic experience has highlighted the importance of family treatment.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bethune-Cookman University, in Daytona Beach Florida. I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical and Community Counseling at Eastern University in Saint David, Pennsylvania.

I have extensive training in treating couples, families, adults, and adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety, history of trauma, and behavioral concerns. The systemic approach of family and marital counseling is near and dear to my heart. My approaches include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational, and Structural Family Therapy.

November 2018, I opened The Intentional Wellness Group, a private practice counseling center in Lafayette Hill, PA. Utilizing cultural competence and sensitivity I treats teens, adults, couples, and families to overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational discord.

I am a mother of two children and married for seven years. I work hard for work-life balance, consciously pursuing self-care through fitness, healthy eating, and a solid spiritual foundation. I am passionate about my work as a therapist and strive to create an environment that is culturally sensitive and conducive for healing and transformation through relationship. As we know, change does not occur unless you feel heard, understood, and safe.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
