Hi. My name is Andrea. I'm a Mental Health Counselor licensed in Massachusetts and Nebraska with 10 years experience as a therapist. I began my career working in an inpatient dual diagnosis unit. I simultaneously worked as a therapist for the federal government proving therapy to men and women looking for guidance on making good life decisions. For several years, I ran an outpatient clinic and was fortunate enough to work with clients ranging in age from 5-68. Needless to say, my experience as a therapist has been vast and includes people from all walks of life!
For the entirety of my career, I've done initial evaluations for all of my clients, in addition to clients being seen by other therapists. This has given me the opportunity to learn about and work with an array of clients with many different presenting problems. Some of specialties include depression, anxiety, self esteem, communication issues, and relationship problems. In addition to these specialties, I have worked with many people who have suffered traumas due to abuse or other factors.
My counseling style is collaborative. It's important to me that the people I work with feel like they're being heard and that therapy is being tailored to their needs. I do not believe that therapy is a one size fits all so I will work hard to figure out what works best for you instead of providing generic responses and interventions. You can expect that I will be honest, friendly, and supportive during our time together. I hope to provide a judgement free zone where you feel able to share whatever is on your mind, no matter how embarrassing or uncomfortable. I use cognitive behavioral approaches but I will tailor my approach to meet your needs so there is a greater change of success.
I have been providing online therapy for some time and find that this is the best way to provide access to mental health for everyone. I have found that this platform allows people to share their thoughts, reflect, and receive fast responses that just isn't possible with traditional face to face therapy. We no longer have to wait weeks for appointments in order to start working on feeling better.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Andrea is always incredible and forthright. She doesn’t sugar coat things (which I need sometimes) and always still has a positivity for me to focus on. She has been my therapist for over three years now!
Andrea is a very insightful therapist, at times very direct, and her skills enabled me to untangle my thoughts and take a broader, bolder perspective. I would definitely recommend Andrea.
I feel heard. I look forward to continuing this relationship that has no pressure.
Andrea is the best! She always responds in a timely manner. She is kind & considerate and always there to listen. She has really helped me see different sides of situations, always helps me verbalize my internal thoughts, and gives great advice on how to handle my triggers, giving me very useful coping skills/tools. I would HIGHLY recommend Andrea, without a doubt, in a heartbeat!!!
I have never done counseling before Andrea. I thought I was all alone before and that there was no affordable Therapist to talk to. Andrea seems to really understand my concerns and problems and helps me find solutions for my daily life. She responds and let me feel heard. It is really good that I can just send a message when I have enough time to sit down and type what I'm thinking and I know Andrea is gonna answer soon. It's been less than a month but I feel so much better already with all the help I'm getting from her.
Andrea has been really helpful thus far in my counseling. I do see another in person therapist, and she has been a really great compliment to that. It is nice to get a second set of eyes to help me manage certain things in my life. Being self-aware is one of the hardest things to do in a person's life, and PrideCounseling makes sure you're not on that journey alone
Andrea has been incredible! Tough but caring. She really understands where I’m coming from and helps me look at all the information I give her objectively. I couldn’t recommend her more!
I appreciate all of Andrea’s help and understanding.
Andrea helped me through a very difficult time. She won’t sugar coat things because she truly wants to help you. She’s here for solutions and doesn’t want you stuck in the same position. She does this with compassion, kindness, and understanding. She is also very responsive to messages in a timely manner and if she hasn’t heard from you, will check in on you. I highly recommend Andrea!
I have worked with Andrea for years and I wouldn't do that if she weren't great. She is adaptable to the needs of her clients and forms a solid relationship with them to help them make progress in their lives.
I always know I will get an honest opinion and not what I want to hear. I value her views and understanding. She is a voice I need to here.
Andrea is extremely kind and intuitive. She validates how I'm feeling and really reads between the lines to pick up on what I'm not saying. She has helped me tremendously in a short time.
A very good therapist. It feels so good to have someone lend me an ear and listen to my feelings and thoughts. Helping me a lot with my anxiety
Honestly this experience has been life changing. I’m once again able to focus on the things I’ve wanted to do for myself since forever ago and now that I can work through my stronger emotions I have the metal space to truly push forward in a healthier more effective way. I love to journal on the app and not have the fear that I’m going to get judged by who is reading it. So thank you for helping me on my self growth journey.
Andrea is great at getting you to challenge yourself by helping you understand yourself. 3 months and I've learned so much with her thought provoking questions and kind supportive words. Thanks Again
Andrea has been a godsend! She is supportive, makes me think more about things and to dig deeper in my thoughts, but at the same time never sugar coats things and tells it like it is to better me and the life I live.
andrea is great with she gives me ideards and a vice on how to handle my problems and whatever the situation i in and she all was reach out to me right a way which is great . of all she is great
Very helpful thank you!
Andrea is a good listener and provides sound advice. she also checks in and that's nice to feel that my mental health check is important.
Andrea has been so amazing. She is very knowledgeable and has a high level of empathetic understanding. I feel heard. I feel respected. I feel like we have a good therapeutic working alliance. I'm learning a lot, and am practicing the skills more in every day life.
Andrea is a godsend! She is a great sounding board and has experience with many aspects of life that really help me understand my nature and the changes I am going through to be me!
Andrea has been professional, caring and supportive of me. She has given me good strategies to deal with some of my stressors and I appreciate her positive attitude. Thanks Andrea
Andrea has been very helpful so far with helping me work on my insecurities and how to deal with and manage them. She’s very supportive and offers great insight and I’m happy to have her as a counselor!
She is very helpful, and I love text therapy. If you're nervous about talking either on the phone or by video with a therapist, text therapy with Andrea is a great option!
Andrea has helped me the past year and we're currently working towards accepting my mother's recent passing. She is very kind and knowledgeable
I am new to BetterHelp, but so far Andrea has been fantastic. She responds in a very timely manner with thoughtful feedback that helps me pinpoint what I need to reflect on. She also checks in if I forget to respond or get caught up with other things, which is very appreciated.
Andrea has said to me from the beginning “think of me as a friend but with professional experience.” She has been just that, a good friend that’s is very professional and so so helpful. I never have felt that I am “crazy” or a burden. She truly helps me work through my thoughts and worries and I’m lucky to have her support.
Therapy with Andrea has helped (where many other attempts have failed) because she prioritizes my progress over sticking to program protocols and textbook norms. I’ve never had a therapist, or any psych professional, for that matter, take time to get to know me, my trauma, what it is like to live isolated and in significant physical pain, not due to covid, but permanently, due to long term illness. Andrea has asked many questions about what I do to emotionally self-regulate and I think she understands how dedicated I am to living my life fully as possible with serenity and grace. Andrea has never inspired me to feel that I am not trying hard enough or that I have an attitude problem because at times of crisis, the tools that usually help become unhelpful and sometimes exacerbate the crisis. For example, mindful acceptance of the present during a PTSD crisis or night terrors doesn’t work for me. There isn’t really a work around the adrenaline pumping through me because my brain believes fully that the flashback is real, that I’m presently experiencing a risk to my life. No amount of awareness or acceptance, no deep breathing or attempting to act opposing to my emotional urges, nor attempts to anchor to the present has been able to change that. Andrea understands that things like mindfulness, CBT, and radical acceptance can make a difference in accepting difficult circumstances, but they are not a panacea. She was the first person to listen when I’ve gone to them for help with the anxiety and PTSD related to medical trauma. She listened with an open mind to the history of my physical and psychological fight, and understood that the problem was not lack of dedication on my part. I have a lot more work to do but Andrea has helped immensely. She’s an invaluable part of my support network.
Andrea is warm, engaging, and insightful. She offers real advice, honest feedback, and gentle encouragement. Working with her was tremendously helpful to me. I highly recommend her as a therapist.
Andrea is my first counselor I’ve ever had. I was in a dark place when I decided it’s probably best I should talk to someone. I can reach out to Andrea and she will reply if not in the same day, the very next day with a very thoughtful response and advice. She hits every topic I had mentioned when I spill out all of my thoughts and emotions. She listens (or reads) what I have to say and will ask me questions on how I could change that first, before giving advice on what she thinks I should do. I am very pleased with this app and Andrea very much.
I've been chatting with Andrea for a few weeks now and am so pleased with her approach. She's matched my energy level and addressed my needs so perfectly! I'd definitely recommend her if you are experiencing anxiety or depression.
She is very responsive. She has been giving me really good advice. I feel like I can share things with her that I am unable to talk to anyone else about.
I am every happy with Andrea Brant I had her for about 2 years and she is the best therapist I ever had I completely change my outlook on life.
I have not been working with Andrea for long but I have found her to be compassionate and adaptable. I would recommend her to people who need help processing complex trauma and have found other talk therapy approaches unhelpful. She understands that while I practice and find merit in CBT type thought therapy, doing thought exercises while in the middle of a PTSD episode is unlikely to be possible. A person having flashbacks during an acute crisis is unlikely to be capable of doing thought exercises. Andrea seems to naturally understand something important that most medical professionals, in my extensive experience as both a worker and a patient, seem to miss these days: telling a person who is literally dying slowly and painfully that they should be able to meditate away that pain and carry on as normal without any medication or outside emotional support , is ridiculous. Andrea has been a breath of fresh air in that regard. She helped me realize that if a doctor or therapist isn’t able to empathize and they are approaching my problems cynically and with indiscriminate doubt, they cannot help me. Andrea is the first person in a long time that inspired me to hope they can help and trust that they will at the very least try.
She's someone I feel comfortable talking to about anything. Really understanding of what I'm going through and gives great advice. It's like talking to a friend that won't judge you or see you in a different light after you tell her how you really feel.
So far so good, I feel comfortable and at ease speaking about myself.
Andrea is extraordinarily flexible with her schedule and I am grateful for her support and consideration. I am fortunate for her expertise.
Andrea always takes the time to respond to each detail that I want to discuss. She never skips anything or leaves anything out and she understands that we are all people and shares some stories or experiences that don't make you feel like you are getting counselling, but rather, talking to a friend and that is a very comforting feeling! Thanks for being you Andrea!
Andrea is the best therapist I have ever had!
It is great to be able to rely on Andrea and to always have a timely response to a correspondence. She is very honest and direct in her feedback which helps to put things in perspective and make my own decision.
Andrea is great at addressing the many layers of concern I brought to our discussion! Very helpful with helping me see solution ideas.
Andrea is very insightful and caring. I like her relaxed approach! Highly recommend her.
Andrea is a very mild hearted and understanding person. She gives me the tools, space and time to figure out what I need to do. She guides me but I feel very much in control. My anxiety has been controlling my life, so for her to give me control is very empowering. I’m slowly seeing things will be better. So thankful.
Andrea is insightful, considerate and kind. She has accurate answers that becomes more apparent as you take time to digest them. She has also surprised me on a couple of occasions with observations and suggestions that have really helped me decipher my emotions and preconceived ideas. Some ideas are so embedded in my psyche that they have literally reemerged over the last few weeks. I also need to add that she is gentle and careful with me. If she hadn’t been then I would have been tempted to run to the hills.
Andrea is quick to respond and offers great insights, noticing patterns and asking thought-provoking questions that help me work through my problems.
Andrea is very approachable and knows exactly what to say to get you thinking about and analyzing your life, while simultaneously making you feel better about whatever you’re facing!
Ms. Brant is very nice and supportive. She's always saying the right things that help me think clearer and feel at ease.
Andrea is a great listener, and has great insights that really give a lot new perspective to things. She's reliable and a very warm person that allows you to open up without feeling judged. She's great!
Helped me figure out where to focus my effort and attention on; allowing me to enjoy the upcoming days of my life!
Andrea is absolutely amazing. Even though we have not been talking for very long, she quickly was able to create a comfortable environment for us to chat, which made it so much easier to confide in her and build that strong rapport. She is incredibly empathetic, understanding, compassionate and welcoming. I am so thankful for her.
She is thoughtful, timely, and respectful. I would recommend her!
I have so much to say about Andrea! She works hard to resolve people's inner conflicts. She is wise and is more empathetic than sympathetic, which is a better way to help me. She shows how much she cares and that's what matters most!
She is my rock! She is very comforting and gives great advice. I can always go to her if I am in deep thought about something in my life, so thank you!
Andrea is understanding and thoughtful. Queries appropriately.
I have thoroughly enjoyed Andrea in all of our correspondence. She is warm, understanding, and empathetic and offers support that not only provides real, practical solutions, but encourages me to develop my self-confidence and self-determination.
Andrea creates a space where you are safe, a place where you are able to open up in ways you can't in the real world and, through that process, begin to heal things that have long been hidden. And the best part is that Andrea doesn't just heal those things for you, she gives you the tools to heal yourself. Andrea freed me from guilt, shame, fear, and emotional paralysis, and she taught me how to continue to do it for myself. She made me feel ok with myself, for the first time in a long time. Working with her has been a gift. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you helped me, and that's one of the most precious things you can do for another person. I'm stronger now, I'm whole, thanks to Andrea.
Andrea Brant has been understanding and very supportive with helping working trough my stress, anxiety and depression. I look forward to her responses to my messages.
I found out very quickly that she was helping me open up about my past in a way I never thought I could and has been a massive support in helping me deal with the daily struggles of my anxiety. She has been amazing and is very direct and to the point. Would not have got this far without her support. Thank you.
I love Andrea's style and how she really dives into subjects with me. She is compassionate but honest! I would highly recommend her!
Though my time with her has been short so far, I feel I can be super open and don't have to feel embarrassed or ashamed. She's very understanding and comes up with some great ways to help that you never thought of before.
I am very grateful for your helping hand and advice. I opened up to you very fast because you are a genuine and loving person. I can't thank you enough Andrea, I am very lucky :)

Andrea is a very caring counselor. I enjoy hearing from her and like her insights
Andrea is thoughtful. I have the feeling I can open up and yet I will not be judged but listened to.
Andrea was very helpful in addressing my issues. She understood my problem and her advice worked for me. I trust her experience and it was a pleasure working with her.
She is very helpful and understanding. She's a very good person!
Andrea has been extremely helpful in helping me to deal with the issues that I have been facing. Her responses are insightful and thought provoking. It's so reassuring and comforting to be able to speak with someone who is able to give me unbiased advice and ideas, while also giving me the tools that I need to move forward.
I love speaking to Andrea and I hope to continue.
Andrea is an excellent listener and is very understanding - would highly recommend.
She's been very nice so far and has given me a different perspective on things that otherwise I would've ignored. She's been a big help.
Imagine your big sister or aunt had a masters in psychology and would quickly answered your texts and calls to help u solve your problems, and gave u easy to understand steps for u to take to gradually improve yourself and steer your development in the direction u want to move. That's what my therapeutic experience has felt like...someone close who understands me who I share a mutual respect with...who knows what to say and how to explain what is going on in easy to understand terms. Thanks Andrea!
Great listener and advisor.
I enjoy working with Andrea. While our relationship is still new, I find her easy to talk with and we are currently, really just getting to know each other. I look forward to working more with her.
I have been working with Andrea for a few weeks and I am quite happy about how things are going so far. Andrea is being really helpful and supportive and I'm finding this work very useful.
Andrea is amazing!
Andrea is extremely professional and always has something to say that's useful and that I can refer back to, carrry into my day and ultimately feel better. She's a gem. Of all the counseling I've done (which is a lot) I've found her most helpful!
Andrea is kind and compassionate. She listened to what I had to say without judgement and made me feel valued. I hope that others will benefit from her expertise as much as I had.
I came here seeking help with anxious, obsessive thoughts that I had been dealing with for four years. Andrea read everything I wrote to her, responding to everything and asking things for me to consider and analyze. She gave me suggestions and specific worksheets to help manage those thoughts and replace them with realistic ones. To keep this short, she has been a great example of what a counselor should be, there to support and guide me through figuring things out for myself using her professional knowledge and unbiased perspective.
Thank you Andrea!
Since starting therapy with Andrea I can honestly say I see improvement in my mental wellness. I also feel a sense of security when anything happens, I can talk to her and she'll be there to help me through whatevers happening
Andrea is very supportive, loving and brings strong messages across in a nice way. I cherish her advice and I look forward to receiving her uplifting and at the same time practical messages every day! I can highly recommend her.
Andrea is very attentive, caring and understanding. She has the great ability to see through a situation and pull out the key insights. During a difficult time in my life, her counsel has been invaluable. I would strongly recommend her moving forward.
Andrea is quick to address the comments I make and reply in a timely manner.
Andrea is very empathetic - she understands your concerns and gives good advice. She also practices so you can change your habits and mind.
Andrea's great! Really gives you support and is willing to work with you at your pace.
Andrea has been great! I have had a lot of ups and downs and not only has she given me advice and asked me questions that made me really get to know myself better, but she showed genuine concern and interest for what I was going through.
I love Andrea; she doesn't make me feel uncomfortable in anyway and she doesn't judge me in anything I say. This helps me be more open with her and not hide anything, which helps her help me better. She gives me excellent advice, and I also like how I hear back from her within 24 hours!
I spent a little under a month talking with Andrea about my sleeping issues. She was very informative, helpful, and reliable in the fact that she always answered me within a day. I ended our sessions with a much better and more positive outlook on my future and highly recommend her to anyone!
Andrea has been a great therapist for me. I feel that she always gets the message of what I'm trying to say, even when I feel that I'm not expressing myself in a clear way. She is very responsive and addresses my concerns specifically and in a straight-forward way. I feel that she is easy-going, never judgmental, and a great listener.
Andrea is absolutely amazing! She's helped me see things in a different light and always gives good advice.
Andrea is patient, kind and understanding. She helped me recognize my perfectionism and how I can deal with it. She is truly amazing!
I've been impressed that Andrea has allowed me to focus on what I want to focus on. I've had face to face therapists in the past and I often feel that they have an agenda that is not mine. Also, it is liberating to be free of body language messages and voice intonation that can color meaning and trigger mood changes. The absolute best part is to have access at will. So important since I am able to share what's on my mind in real time. This is been a tremendous breath of fresh air and a sound platform for positive change.
Andrea, is super- fun and supportive and speaking to her is a joy. Would be lost without her!
I like that Andrea would make me feel like I'm being heard, she seems to be a caring and nice person. I am glad I got to speak to her. She has helped me feel better after how I was feeling.

Andrea is a huge help. Easy to talk to, gives great advice. Asks all the right questions.
Andrea has been a great help for me. She's very professional and you can see she really knows what she's doing, without 'digging' into you in an obvious way, which helps to relax and be perfectly honest. She's really been there for me whenever I needed and she helps me looking into myself and figure things out without any judgement, in a natural way that makes me feel that I came up with solutions by myself. Thank you, Andrea! You're excellent.
I have been dealing with painful feelings for a long time..., Andrea with a professional approach had open a window to explore my life..., her patience and dedication are highly rewarded... I admire and respect her work, and I hope to continue with her in my corner...
