Better Help is a wonderful resource for people like me who need therapy, but cannot commit to weekly sessions at a certain time due to work and family obligations. Plus, I communicate better in writing than by talking. Rachel has been a wonderful person to chat with and share my worries, especially with everything that has happened in the past year.

More about Rachel

HI! I am Rachel and I am a licensed mental health counselor in South Florida. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. With that said the areas I specialize in are anxiety, depression, substance abuse, family conflict, relationship conflicts, and complex trauma/abuse. I also have done clinical work in women's issues, such as postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, and eating disorders.

I describe my therapeutic approach as individualistic. I do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to therapy. I work to get to know my clients as individuals and develop a plan for what will help them reach short term and long term goals. I am always coming from a empathetic, caring, and non-judging point of view. I want you to feel that you can trust me and feel vulnerable with me.

Whether you are going through a rough time, looking to make big life changes, you just need someone to listen to you are not alone and I am here to help!

I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Rachel is very easy to talk to and supportive. She helped talk me through a major A-level life decision. She never pushed me in any direction, while still being really honest about things. I ended up making what I feel is the right decision. If I had the fortune of having her to bounce things off of earlier, I would have won a lot more of my life back.
