I have worked with Nicole for a while now, and she has been so understanding and she puts up with my craziness when I feel like I can’t even handle it. She’s really good at challenging my negative thought patterns and helping me untangle my thoughts and make sense of them. She’s very down to Earth and has never once made me feel uncomfortable (unless it was a result of encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone) or invalidated me. I would recommend her to pretty much anyone who needs it!

Hi, I'm Nicole! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin and have been working in the field for 7 years. I have experience working with adults in the areas of mental health: specifically depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance abuse. I have worked both in hospitals and clinic settings providing both individual psychotherapy and facilitating group therapy for both men and women.
My counseling style is empathetic, compassionate, yet honest. My approach stems a lot from dialectical behavior therapy, and developing positive coping skills, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy to assist with challenging thoughts and behaviors to help regulate emotions. I like to work from a strength-based perspective, recognizing each individuals strengths, capabilities, and resiliencies. I treat every client as the individual they are, and will use different approaches to suit each individual's needs. When working together, I can help you to identify and set positive goals, and provide any resources that I can.
I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a bachelors in psychology and graduated from Concordia University with a masters in Professional Counseling.
When i'm not in the field providing counseling, I like to enjoy my free time spending time with family and friends, painting, running, going to concerts, and snuggling up with my three kitties and watching Netflix.
It is not easy living every day suffering in silence. Asking for help is okay. Every day I am amazed at how strong the clients I work with are, and they are true inspirations to me.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I'm so blessed that I met Nicole. I feel we really connect well together and she always listens to everything I have to say and isn't judgemental but understands what I'm going through and is able to provide feedback and offer advice on what I can do to better myself. She always checks in with me to see how things are going and it's really easy to get ahold of her as well and overall is a very kind and caring person. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication and support!
Ms. Wendt is a sweetheart. She’s very compassionate and empathetic while still being professional. She provides resources and helpful information while maintaining the idea of her just being a helpful friend. I guess the easiest way to put it is, “ten out of ten, would recommend.”
This is a therapist who actually listens about your problems and doesn't ask ridiculous questions. Nicole provides good mental health solutions while cheering you on. Best therapist I've been to and I've tried a lot.
I can't say enough about the impact Nicole has had on my life. Nicole is extremely kind, caring and makes you feel comfortable in disclosing whatever your issues are. She always addresses everything with sound advice and has helped my mental well being beyond anything I could have hoped for. I would highly recommend Nicole to anyone going through a rough time, she offers amazing coping techniques and is always so down to earth in her replies. The world needs more people like Nicole as she does such a service in helping people when they're at there lowest and I can't thank her enough.
