MY EXPERIENCE AND TREATMENT APPROACH
I’m mental health therapist and Board Certified Christian Counselor in North Carolina with a passion to help others navigate moments that feel overwhelming. I've provided counseling since 2012 and have helped many work through unresolved childhood trauma, divorce, friendship conflicts, anxiety, depression, self-concept challenges, financial behavior difficulties, family conflict, and issues surrounding child abuse and neglect. As I counsel I seek to provide an opportunity for transparency and self-awareness. I use cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, and solution-focused strategies to help individuals meet their goals.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND CREDENTIALS
I obtained my Master of Social Work and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW License #C009941).

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

She is great. She really listens really cares and is good at helping you make progress and confront difficult truths without being insensitive to your pain.
So far it’s been a short while a week or so but somehow I feel like progress is already being made, she seems to understand where I’m coming from and is relatable and nonjudgmental. Also very responsive and has communicated expectations very well like availability. So far I really appreciate her and am glad to have connected.
Rae has been an incredible support to me as I’ve struggled through one of the hardest points in my life thus far. She listens without judgment and asks important questions that help me see the situation I’m in more clearly and figure out the best way forward for me.
I have had a great experience with Rae. She has always responded in a very timely manner with solid responses and direct questions that have really made me think. It shows that she cares, listens, and puts thought into each one. I couldn’t ask for anything else. Thank you.
