Hello,

My name is Chinell Collins. I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania, and have been providing counseling services to a diverse population for over a decade. I have spent many years working with individuals who suffer from various addictions (drug and alcohol, food, relational, etc.), trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and adjustment disorder. I also have experience working with couples and families. I enjoy partnering with clients in order to assist them in achieving their personal goals. I am supportive and I am a motivator. Seeing my clients experience a life that brings them happiness and meaning, truly gives me joy. I am excited to walk with you on your personal journey.

My main therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however, I like to integrate Choice Theory, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered and Positive Psychology techniques as needed. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing.

Aside from my professional experience, I have a lot of volunteer experience working with the homeless population. I partner along side those who feel hopeless and helpless, and not only work with them to achieve their overall goals, but also support them in finding hope and happiness in the process.

I know it can be very difficult to ask for help, but today you can take the first step towards the rest of you life.

Reach out to me today.

Dr. Collins has been wonderful with being able to switch topics and talk about new things that are bothering me, while still incorporating past issues of mine we’ve talked about. She’s been helping connect a lot of dots and connecting issues to other issues that I don’t even realize were connected.

I have only been working with Dr. Collins for about a month now. Just talking to her has already helped me with what I'm going through. She responds to me in a timely matter and I feel like she genuinely cares about me and my situation. I would strongly recommend anyone to reach out to Dr. Collins for help.

Dr. Collins has done more for me through 2-3 weeks of texting than my previous therapist did in more than a month of video chats. I can tell she cares and she takes time to address my concerns without passing over anything. She shows empathy and promptly gives me tools to work through my concerns. I would recommend her to anyone who was seeking therapy.

Reviewed November 2021

Dr. Collins is a very good listener and very helpful. Highly recommend.

Reviewed November 2021

I appreciate the help that I've been getting so far, if only that she could respond faster. I understand that she needs time to find her words, but it'd be maybe a day to a few hours, maybe greater until she responds. I respond immediately, and it's a few hours to a day later that I'd get a response. There was one time where she responded immediately to my message, but any other time, it'd be a while. This is my only complaint. She's really good, and I've been able to confide in her about things that she and I will only know of and speak on, but that's besides the point
