Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I absolutely love Arthur’s kind words of encouragement as I’m going through one of the biggest parts of my life,.. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs someone to help them recalibrate their mindset. I never knew how much I needed it.

I feel Arthur Belmont is an excellent therapist. I had never tried online therapy, and to be honest, I was skeptical because I'd always had therapy in a room with a therapist. I decided to try BetterHelp and once Arthur reached out to me, I felt safe, and in "good hands" right away. I immediately felt that I could open up to him with my fears. He is gentle, yet firm, as he guides me through my anxiety. Arthur is also inspirational and I believe Arthur believes in me. He has been helping to increase my confidence. Also, Arthur can sometimes be tough (in a good way) by holding me accountable for my thoughts-and in my actions with others. I've been dealing with some pretty tough issues, and I believe Arthur is helping me turn my life around. I strongly feel Arthur Belmont is an excellent therapist, and I highly recommend him.

Arthur has been great in communication. He listens well and has given great advice that has been very beneficial in my recovery. He also does not shy away from pointing out areas that need attention to support, whether I agree or disagree with what he has to say. I would highly recommend him. He has be a great help and support during one of the toughest times in my life.

C.R.·Dec 2017

I have been Arthur's client for approximately 9 months. He has absolutely made a huge difference in every aspect of my life. I have seen positive changes in my life because of Arthur's constant, yet extremely patient way of keeping me on track and focused. My perception on life has changed and that has given me the freedom to let go of the things that no longer serve me. He is completely understanding and non-judgmental, no matter what my issue of the day was (and I had a lot). For anyone looking to make changes in their life, or someone (like myself who is dealing with a lot of trauma, abuse, maladaptive coping skills, depression, and... the list goes on and on), I STRONGLY recommend Arthur. Change takes time. It's not something that happens overnight. I think I fought change the first few months. He stuck with me in a patient manner and never gave up. Arthur has an amazing ability to provide support and/or a reality check at moments when you need it. Really not sure how he he does it, but he is AMAZING.

M.I.·Jun 2017

Arthur is bright, caring, empathic, and a great listener. He has been extremely helpful with my relationship issues and has challenged my way of thinking - necessary to getting out of the rut I was in.

W.Y.·May 2017

Dr. Belmont has been great. I was unclear on how his method would work when I read his description of it, but after talking to him it completely re-contextualized things I've been worried about for years. It's all about asking the right questions, and Dr. Belmont helped me understand what those questions are.

A.N.·Apr 2017

He was thoughtful and helpful, gave quick and extremely useful advice.

E.R·Mar 2017

Every once in a while, I have feel are these little neurotic tailspins. Arthur has been really good and saying the right thing - asking the questions I should be asking myself and (only once) giving me the swift direct kick in the butt I really needed. I've appreciated it.

E.R·Feb 2017

Arthur has been great to work with. Over the last few months, he helped me gain confidence in myself and diminish some of my anxiety issues. The best thing about working with him, is that he made me think about things and come up with solutions through guided self discovery. Also, he was prompt in replying to my messages which is so very important when you are looking for some counseling on some very emotional issues. I hope to continue working with him in the future whenever I need counseling and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking better help!

M.A·Jan 2017

In my mind, the help I have received from Dr.Belmont he has been invaluable to my recovery process from sex addiction. From the first minute I was connected to him, he has been an honest, open source of help and has helped me see myself as I couldn't. He has shown me a path to recovery I never knew existed. His answers have been brutally honest when I needed it the most. His guidance and caring have allowed me to forge a path to recovery I would have never found without his help. I am deeply grateful I was connected with him.

T.I·Nov 2016

Arthur is compassionate and responds quickly with advice and additional reading material. It is obvious he has experience and loves helping others, I really feel as if he's cares and he has helped my situation.

M.A·Sep 2016

I never expected this app to help me as much as it has. Arthur has helped me a lot, he really makes me think about my decisions. He has helped me change my way of thinking, I'm not 100% better but I'll sure keep talking with him untill I do.

S.U·May 2016

Arthur has a different, yet refreshing way of making me see the big picture, which separates him from other therapists I've been to. He makes me think.

R.O·May 2016

I'm a guy in my late 40s, experiencing problems with romantic relationships. As a result, I had been fairly depressed and had lost hope in ever finding a romantic partner. I was already somewhat familiar with the subject of cognitive behavioral techniques, due to lots of self help books from the past. Nevertheless, I definitely felt stuck in life. I joined this site, and within 24 hours, Arthur Belmont responded to my request. We were able to get past the preliminary stage in which a therapist gets to know the client, much faster than my few experiences in a live office setting. I was really glad that I could get Arthur up to speed on my issues within a couple of emails, and that we could gets started on the "meat" of the work fairly soon. Arthur was very responsive with emails. He responded to my emails within 24 hours in 100% of the time, even during the weekend. He was also able to make several paradigm shifting suggestions, which helped me arrest my downward spiral, and helped me start my ascent up the metaphorical hole. I think Arthur was very effective and had some very good empowering suggestions. My problems are not over yet. These are issues that I need to solve for myself. But after a couple of weeks of working with Arthur, I definitely feel more in control of my future, and can honestly say that I have some hope again. I definitely recommend Arthur to other clients.

S.O·Apr 2016

I like my therapist, Arthur Belmont. He reads my messages and responds in a supportive and instructive way. I feel encouraged by him. His training in CBT works well for helping me with generalized anxiety. I feel really grateful to have found BetterHelp and Arthur, because I was looking for a long time, since my daughter died, and now I finally have someone helping me.

A.L·Apr 2016

I find Arthur to be very sincere and supportive in our dialog together. I feel validated and that my own answers are supported by him. Our sessions are giving me a renewed sense of self trust in my own ability to come to my own solutions and answers and to be able to begin again to stand up on my own two feet with confidence. Arthur's energy feels honest and direct and gives me a boost through my work week. Much thanks for this man.
