Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Denise truly cares. If she knows I am going through something particularly difficult, she will send a text asking how I’m doing or words of encouragement.

Reviewed January 2021

I've only had a couple of video chats with Denise but she is very understanding and is willing to look at the things I am concerned about and want to work on. I feel comfortable talking to her and I do not feel comfortable with everyone.

It’s always difficult to find a therapist that you trust with your life. Denise has been just that. I trust her with my development. I don’t know what I would do without her right now.

Reviewed March 2020

Denise is so warm and understanding. She does not pressure or push me to talk about subjects, and lets the conversation flow naturally. She always has such incredibly sound advice and offers multiple options for solving issues. I came in to counseling feeling overwhelmed, under appreciated, and at the end of my rope. Now I look forward to our talks, and my stress is significantly better managed. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

I have had two sessions with Denise so far and the experience has been really good. She is readily available, I have emailed multiple days when I needed a little pick me up or just needed to express some feelings. She responds very timely. She listens well and gives great feedback and next steps to keep my journey moving in the right direction.
