Life can be very difficult, at times, and situations develop when a person can feel "stuck" and have difficulty seeing a way out. I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling and aim to generate a comfortable environment which will eliminate that "under the microscope" feeling, some people tell me they fear when seeking counseling. I initiate counseling with person centered, solution oriented strategies, which will allow the client to begin taking steps toward relieving stress while generating hope for a more fulfilling future. I utilize, active and reflective listening, mirroring, Rational Emotive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as re-framing, and occasionally homework to help enable self motivation and the confidence to achieve personal life successes. I believe that people can learn the confidence to deal with many difficult situations, with encouragement, compassion, self understanding and the acquisition of new skills to approach problems which may arise in the future. Though I have studied and respect many religions and will do my very best to remain aligned with your personal beliefs, I do not provide religious counseling.
I have a MA in counseling from the University of South Florida, with a focus on mental health. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor in the State of Ohio. I started my career in Florida nearly 27 years ago and have my primary experience in dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar disorder . I have extensive experience helping adult survivors of abuse as well as having presided over a group home for sexually abused girls.
I am not formal or rigidly structured in my counseling method. I believe in treating each person individually and it takes a bit of time to learn about each person's perceptions and history. I work toward being compassionate, understanding and patient in my efforts to help you discover solutions for problems you are experiencing.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Excellent therapist! Great listener, compassionate, empathetic & easy to talk to.
Lisa was very patient with my schedule and took the time to communicate with me throughout. Was very insightful just after 1 session with what I still need help with, Would highly recommend her!
Lisa is a wonderful sounding board. She is not intrusive with her suggestions or observations, but allows me to find my way to the answer or realization in my own time. Great experience
Lisa was helpful and listened to me.
A goofy and wonderful human being who can be relaxed and funny, but also very serious and incredibly helpful towards any issues one may be experiencing.
Lisa is the best therapist. So glad I have her to help me through widowhood & life afterwards. She's a good listener & so relatable.
Compassionate, thoughtful care provided by someone who listens. Always supports my journey seeking the right path for me. Helpful with reality checks and reminders about prioritizing my personal needs.
She’s very helpful
Lisa is probably one of the most helpful therapist I've met so far, she's also a good person to talk to, to put a smile on your face. She's super sweet and she's helped me a lot.
Lisa is so amazing. She listens, understands and provides you with the tools move forward and face whatever you're dealing with head on. I love her so much!
Lisa is amazing and is able to relate to me in a way that isn’t forced.
Lisa tries her best to be a friend as your therapist. Someone who listens to your struggles, and shares her own if it gives insight into your situation. She tries to make sure you feel heard, and asks prompting questions about your well-being and plans for improvement. I never felt judged by Lisa, and that was an anomaly for me.
I like that Lisa has personally experienced, or knows people that have personally experienced, many of the things I struggle with. I get to hear examples of how to deal with these things in real life, or at least get the validation that I'm not alone.
I always feel that I am finding my way to potential solutions with the gentle guidance of my therapist. She doesn't impose he opinion on me or judge my situation, but rather listens and offers her perspective and some possible answers or paths to take. I can rely on her for a reality check when I doubt my chosen course of action.
Been with her over a year, so happy to have her.
Lisa is so sweet, helpful, and really takes the time to deeply understand what you’re going through and/or find points of relatability, which I’ve found has greatly aided my progress. I always look forward to our meetings, each one has been uplifting and produced areas of personal work to be done or food for thought. I love that she checks in on me and how she monitors my progress. My only wish is that I had started therapy with her sooner, and I’m very grateful to BetterHelp for finding such an incredible therapist that truly fit what I was looking for. I would absolutely recommend Lisa to those looking for help.
she is very professional and friendly to speak with she listens to you
Lisa listened well and provided me with a worksheet on our first session. Extremely pleased.
Consistently provides thoughtful feedback, supports exploration of solutions to challenges, and offers real suggestions that can work in my life.
An extremely relatable and open-minded person, allowing me to feel listened to in a nonjudgmental way. Made my extreme anxieties of seeking help feel much easier than I would have ever thought.
She seems really great, but haven’t had my first in person session yet.
I like that Lisa approaches therapy in a more laid back fashion. It makes it easier to open up and feel more like a conversation. It’s more natural! I’ve bugged heads with therapist in the past and I can truly say she is the first I’ve felt like I can be myself around.
I appreciate everything Lisa has done, to help me in my time of need. I am very comfortable during our sessions.
Lisa is an amazing person and she is very insightful about a lot of different things I highly recommend her
Lisa great! She listens to me and doesn't treat me a number.
She’s helped me a lot. Love her.
After only 2 sessions, I believe I was matched with the perfect therapist for my situation. She knows my tendencies and nature, as well as how to help my problems perfectly.
Lisa has been wonderful to work with. She’s helped me question some of my repetitive thinking and realize that I’ve made up “rules” in my own head that don’t serve me. I haven’t worked with her very long but I already find myself coming back to things she’s said when I’m experiencing difficulties. Shes great and I’d 100% recommend her!
Enjoyed my conversations with Lisa. Easy to talk too and very good at hearing me.
I am only a few sessions into therapy with Lisa, but I so appreciate her already. She is quirky in a way that feels relatable and real to me, is a great active listener, and makes me feel comfortable to share or let her lead the conversation. I look forward to continuing to work with her.
Lisa is great
I felt a fairly instant connection to Lisa. She gets me. She's very approachable and made me feel extremely comfortable confiding in her. So far it's been great!
She understands my plight and empathizes with me in a really human way. She also shares insight into what others can be doing to influence my own thought pattern and ways I could think about myself in those situations. I feel like I can actually talk to someone now.
Lisa is wonderful. She really listens to direct therapy so I get the most out of it.
