Hello! Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn more about me! My name is Dani and I’ve been working in the substance use and behavioral health fields for thirteen years. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. I am an independently licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Minnesota as well as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have worked primarily in the non-profit sector but, have worked directly with corrections, court, and probation clients during that time as well. Although I have worked with adolescents, my primary focus has been adult clientele. I have additional training in grief counseling and working with individuals that have experienced trauma.
The majority of my experience has been with those that have concerns with both substance abuse and mental health. This allows me to help with not only mental health concerns but, substance abuse issues and how the two intertwine. I have worked in a small community and due to this, have learned the importance of protecting confidentiality and the benefits of engaging in online counseling to ensure you have an objective opinion.
Throughout my career I have subscribed to the idea of cognitive behavioral therapy as I like the very involved, practical approach to looking at out problems and concerns and changing the patterns of thinking that keep us from moving past these things to where we want to be. Once we learn our goals, cognitive behavioral therapy approaches help us to reach them in practical terms.
I do believe that you should be able to direct what you want out of therapy and what you want to accomplish so, we will work together in order to make the changes you are looking to implement and set reachable goals to get there.
I am looking forward to working with you!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Easy going and very comfortable to work with. She is very supportive and non judgmental. I know that is how it should be but she excellent in making natural.
Dani is the best therapist I've had in years. She listens, understands, and provides great feedback and resources. She has helped me unpack and come to terms with a lot of things. She also helps paint the bigger picture and break down the seriousness of my problems. I am grateful to have her expertise in improving my mental well-being.
Dani is amazing!
Dani is great. She allows the conversation to progress organically while also keeping us on track to work towards my goals.
An excellent therapist! Dani takes the time to listen, and to learn about more abstract topics that are relevant to my situations
Dani is amazing. She truly cares and is real. She won’t coddle you and will hold you accountable while still supporting and encouraging you. She’s simply amazing!
Good
Dani is very real with you. It feels very personal and like you’re talking to someone you’ve known forever with the added bonus of her being a trained professional. She doesn’t sugarcoat things and is good at working out your problems with you and really helping you to figure it out instead of just telling you what to do.
Dani is fabulous and I feel that she's really helped me.
She is a fantastic therapist! She just understands things about me that no one else ever has, and she doesn’t bubble wrap me either. She tells it straight!
Dani is a great help. She responds back pretty fast and helps me see from different perspectives. Gives me more then one option on how to change/fix things and she has helped me out a lot.
She’s great
Dani has been phenomenal. She listens to me and when I've asked her to give me a truthful reality check, she has delivered.
She doesn’t let you bullpoop yourself. She will help you to realize a lot of things you should’ve seen sooner... I love the way that she makes it ok to make myself a priority over anything else. Because if I’m not ok, how can I expect others to be ok? How can I take care of other people if I’m not ok myself?... She’s very good!
Dani’s there for me. I feel like she is genuinely concerned about my mental well-being.
She’s amazing and very supportive!
She is fantastic. really knows how to connect with me. I am confident in her abilities and she doesn't try to doctor it up. It feels like you are just talking to a really good friend.
Dani has been a really great match for me because she’s straightforward, empathetic, and will share things that are tailored to help me personally and also how she approaches challenges in her own everyday life. It makes the conversation feel more genuine and human to human.
She’s amazing!
Dani is fantastic. I am able to talk about anything with her and she is very understanding. She is very personable and looks to maintain a good dialogue. It feels more like talking to a friend or some chill person than a lab coat. I love our conversations and look forward to them each week.
So far Dani is amazing. She is understanding and kind. She is helpful resourceful and thoughtful. Thanks for helping me through my ptsd issues. You are a life changer. Wouldn’t be here without you.
Dani has been a great resource so far. I only just started working with her but she’s been quick with quality responses that give me things to work on.
She is very easy to work with and has a lot of good ideas!
She’s great. Honest and always responds with something helpful and in a super timely manner!
Dani has been amazing to work with. I wanted some help with LGBT related concerns and she made me feel safe and accepted right away. I value her compassion and non-judgmental approach. It was easy to get to the core of my concerns right away.
Dani has been wonderful! I didn't do well in a traditional therapy setting before this and was honestly hesitant at first, but the service has been great and I can't speak enough praise for Dani!
Danielle has been great!! She points out things that I don’t even see. I do not feel judged at all by her and she puts things into perspective. If I don’t contact her after a period of time, she always sends out a “hey, you doing ok?” message. I also love the fact that I can just message her whenever I want. It’s been a great move on my end using Better Help.
Danielle is great!
Danielle is very knowledgeable in drug and alcohol counseling. I’ve been going through a pretty stressful transition with my son and Danielle has talked me through it. She has helped me handle it and understand what my role is as a mother.
I've recently begun working with Danielle. Though we're still getting to know each other, in the few sessions we've had I've found her to be incredibly thoughtful, empathetic and solutions focused while also being mindful of what I've shared about how I prefer to address issues and what works for me and what doesn't. I have very strong hopes that the tools she's showing me and working through with me will help me tremendously!
