I felt comfortable the first time I had therapy with Yvette Smith
I really appreciate the feedback I receive from Yvette because she tells you what you need to hear. That actually has been helping me work through my trauma to move forward and learning who I am.
Yvette Smith is a very nice and respectful therapist. She always has helpful thoughts, and provided a safe space to be open and honest. I highly appreciated working with her.
Yvette is a great listener, has good insight, and offers helpful feedback.
yvette is so great! has provided great feedback and keeps track of trends that show me both how much we've progressed in our work and the challenges ahead.
Yvette is wonderful - I cannot say enough good things about her. She told me the truth even when it was hard and helped me realize how capable and empowered I already was, if I just used what I had in a healthy way. Our sessions have been transformative and truly beneficial. She's the best!
Yvette is amazing! She has helped, encouraged, corrected, supported, and directed me in many ways. Sharing the same faith has been so helpful in our sessions, and I thank the Lord for connecting me with Yvette.
She is a very honest person and that’s what I need in my life now.
Yvette takes time to listen and understand, and also has a vey lovely and caring personality making her an easy person to open up to and share with. Thanks for your guidance and wisdom!
Awesome. Simply awesome
I've just begun a therapeutic relationship with Yvette. From the start, she has been attentive, inquistive, and helpful. I'm not a big fan of online therapy, but Yvette really goes above and beyond to make sure you don't feel that online distance. If you're new to therapy, I highly recommend starting with someone like Yvette!
I knew I was ready for change and growth when I started therapy. I knew some things would be hard and some things I may not want to do. Yvette meets me where I am and is always empathetic, but gentle when trying to get me to change my habits. I have had multiple “ah ha” moments since beginning therapy. I’m so happy I decided to try it. Grateful to have Yvette in my corner to cheer me on when needed, but also to hold up the mirror when needed.
Hands down she’s the best. She doesn’t hold back what you need to hear the good and bad. She actually listens to you and then send the feedback your way. I really appreciate her so much
Yvette has helped me clear the unbearable fog of too many thoughts in front of me. Through our conversations, I am guided to more suitable directions in which to focus my thinking on.
Yvette is a gifted therapist! She is so dedicated to my healing, growth and strength building. She is honest and direct, and also empathic and compassionate.
Yvette is amazing! She says the things I need to hear and think about..and in a way that makes me feel comfortable and as if she’s a been trusted friend that I’ve had for many years. She’s kind, straightforward & very much appreciated.
Yvette is kind, smart and empathetic, but once she understands what's going on she doesn't shy away on calling you out or being more direct on what needs to happen. I enjoy a more active involvement by a therapist as it pushes me gets me out of my head. Thanks for all that you do Yvette!
Yvette is wonderful at listening and encouraging you to challenge your assumptions in order to live a more fulfilled life.
Yvette is great and has been very helpful for me!!
Fantastic therapist with remarkable empathy and incredible compassion. High recommendation!
Yvette Smith is so wonderful to work with and I feel like she is very skilled at asking the right questions to dig deeper and get to the root of the issue.
Yvette is a very knowledgeable source of help. She is tasked with helping total strangers who pop out of nowhere with confusing, overwhelming requests, and is able to back us out and help us focus on one thing at a time. She brings respectful candor, helping her be relatable and human. She helps you see where you are succeeding on your own and challenges you potentially difficult questions to consider. She doesn’t force you to answer or act and i genuinely think she could help almost anyone if they give her a chance. Therapy isn’t spoon fed, it’s guided. Yvette is a great, friendly guide. I highly recommend her.
Yvette is the reason why I stay with better help. She’s is honestly amazing and has helped my self esteem and building boundaries that respect myself and others. She deserves a pay raise.
Yvette was instrumental in helping me through some difficult situations. Highly recommended!
I have had other therapist where I felt like they were joust doing their job. Which isn’t really a knock on them because they’re doing it well, but they lack that personal aspect that you should feel with your therapist. Yevette seems to ask more personal questions to get to the root cause of whatever said issue is. She is genuine and doesn’t placate to false thoughts or emotions but instead comes up with other angles to view these thoughts or emotions to help see things more positively. Honestly, she’s amazing.
Yvette is a dedicated therapist and healer. I appreciate how committed she is to my growth and healing, and also appreciate her direct and also compassionate approach.
She is a good listener and an encouraging person. I would like to speak with her more.
I find her friendly, calm, and understanding to listen to me and all I've got to say.
Kind thoughtful and focused on what is important
Yvette is great. She makes you feel comfortable but also gently pushes to make sure you’re making progress. She has definitely helped me in a short amount of time.
Yvette is amazing and has helped me a lot with my trauma and building myself up so that I can now stand on my own two feet and work through things on my own. She has been so immensely helpful and is very caring and supportive (and also very funny). I would recommend Yvette to anyone and has loved having her as my therapist!

I have been in and out of therapy for a number of years, but I have never found someone who understands me and has been able to help me quite like Yvette. She is kind, understanding, patient and makes me feel so comfortable in our sessions. She helps me reason through things and provides me perspective when I lose it. I could recommend her enough.

Smart, efficient, extremely professional
Yvette is really nice, she’s always open to ideas of what could be wrong and I never feel judged
Yvette is a great counselor, and her treatment methods may be contrary to some, but she is very versatile in her ways and is able to adapt well to different therapy participants to get her meaning/methodology across. I highly recommend Yvette, and anyone who uses her should be able to get the help they need

Yvette has been an absolute light and has made such a difference in my life in such a short period of time. She is highly responsive, leads sessions with care and is a joy to speak with. For my first experience with therapy I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been paired with Yvette.
I think Yvette is one of the best counselors I’ve ever had, I appreciate how honest she is with me and doesn’t let make excuses, i was really hesitant to even start therapy but now I look forward to our weekly sessions.
Can’t completely express how wonderful Yvette has been. So thankful I was partnered with her. Have had seven therapist throughout the years. She has helped me more than all of them combined

Yvette has been very professional, patient and supportive in addressing my concerns. Her approach to assisting me work through my goals has been personalised to my needs. She is very relatable and down to earth.
Yvette and I have only had one session together but it was extremely helpful. She is very responsive and has checked up on me since then. I feel confident in her expertise and speaking with her was very easy.
I only worked with Yvette for a short period of time, but she was EXTREMELY helpful. She helped me come up with some good tools to use to help with my anxiety and helped me to understand that sometimes I don’t need to know the origin of everything. She is upfront and honest, which I appreciate! Thanks so much, Yvette.
I appreciate Yvette’s counsel that really helped me in my situation. I will continue my sessions and I would recommend BetterHelp to others

I’m really looking forward to having more sessions with her, I’m have hopes again that I can feel better and normal again with her help.
Yvette is fantastic. I was nervous about doing online therapy, but I felt comfortable in our first session immediately. She has helped me so much, and I am so thankful that I was matched with her. She listens to me, gives great advice, and is honest with me. People around me have commented on the positive change in my mood and attitude since I started therapy with Yvette. She’s awesome!
Yvette Smith is by far the best counsel I have received in finding guidance in life. I can't thank her enough for her perspective and giving tools to deal with life’s challenges. As a gay black man, problems can be intersectional in balancing our mental health. She provides excellent comfort and understanding in her weekly sessions. Eventually, our sessions felt like talking to a great friend and went beyond a cordial therapist-client relationship. She is friendly, attentive, and very resourceful in providing tools in dealing with your mental health. I will gladly go to her for any problems that may pop up because not only does she excel as a counselor, but an overall wonderful person. I will gladly recommend her to anyone seek help.
Yvette is a qualified, down to earth, empathetic, and kind counselor. She has lots of experience dealing with various types of mental ailments and suffering. She has helped me see certain things in a new perspective and I appreciate her insight
Still early in the process with her, and have only had 1 session in video, but quite a few texts. She responds quickly and thoroughly and definitely is trying to understand the situation and offer advice and ask questions...
I’ve only been working with Yvette for a few weeks but she’s a consistent and approachable person to speak with. She’s offered insights into my messages that I hadn’t noticed and I like that she pushes me without feeling like I’m being pushed.
Yvette is great. I like her straightforward approach. It's good to have someone understand you concerns but also tell you when you're in the wrong. I'd reccomend her services to anyone looking for counselling.
Yvette is a great counselor. She is real, honest, and to the point. She tells you like it is in a caring way. It feels like you are talking to a friend with really good advice and not a counselor.
Yvette is the solution to all my prayers, she helped me grow up, opened my eyes and mind and helped me change the way I think of my problems, I really love having her as my counselor, she is a professional.
I have have been working with Yvette for a few months now. She is. non-judgmental and extremely knowledgeable. She is able to be firm and honest when I need it in way that is both compassionate and therapeutic. I am fortunate to have been paired with her.
She’s amazing, amazing personality, feel very comfortable around her, very safe to talk to her about all my worry’s, without feeling like I’m being judged and is very helpful, if she was this side of the world I’d choose her as a friend, great counsellor
Yvette has given me tools to help me focus on keeping my emotional reactions in control and regroup myself during a great change in my life. She is direct and honest. She also acknowledges my success and helps me to recognize my areas of struggle. I also enjoy that we can work on things piece by piece at my pace. I have A LOT going on right now with family dynamic changes, my job, and personal growth trying to move all those pieces at the same time is complicated. She also makes no judgement when I just speak my mind and I really love that.
Really great counselor. I feel like Yvette doesn't let me lie to myself and offers ideas and perspectives I've never considered which help me to better understand and deal with things. She's friendly and encouraging, and from the get-go she made me feel as comfortable as possible during our interactions - which I'm grateful for as I was very anxious about how it might be awkward and I wouldn't feel like I'm getting any help at all. Fortunately it's the opposite!
Yvette is a great therapist who is genuine and well spoken with a great insight and a very non-judgmental attitude. She is easy to talk to and always responds quickly to my messages.
Yvette is very non judgemental and share related stories to help me understand how i am. She kicks my butt when needed though
I think that Yvette is attentive and shares advice that I can apply to life. She is very consistent and patient with me
Yvette is a very direct and knowledgable counsellor. She has been able to cut through the nonsense to see where the root of a lot of my problems lie. Time and again she helps me see things in an objective manner and provides me with the honesty I need to come out of myself and look at things from a less emotional point of view. I know that I can trust her to bring sense to my irrational ways of thinking and help me to cut the world down to a size that I can easier handle.
It has been a delight to work with Yvette. She is very empathetic and patient, whilst not being afraid to be truthful when the time required it. She will always go the extra mile and does it with a friendly smile.
Yvette is wonderful. She truly listens and responds with thoughtful, helpful dialogue and useful techniques for managing anxiety. She is incredibly accessible and offers a variety of ways to communicate, as well as various times to schedule sessions. I definitely recommend her.

Has been super super helpful on my journey! Took me from living inside my head and my anxiety to being able to be present and enjoy my life. Deepened my current relationship and made them better. Can't recommend enough.
Yvette is kind and understanding and gives good advice :)
I think Yvette is an excellent counselor. I’m not in a good spot right now personally, lots of relationship and family stuff, but she’s really helping me get a grip on my life and take control. I wouldn’t be able to take the steps forward that I have without her help.
In the short amount of time, Yvette has given me great insight through her support, as well as her resources. I will say that through her expertise, I was able to successfully navigate through struggling with childhood traumas, ptsd, panic attacks, and general feelings of confusion and guilt. I highly recommend her as an excellent and caring counsellor.
Yvette is wonderful. She's easy to talk to, understanding, non-judgmental. I feel so lucky to have been paired with her. I really look forward to our conversations. My life has improved so much since I've started communicating with her and I'm so grateful I've signed up for therapy.
She's amazing. Yvette understands the individual she is working with and adapts to their way of opening up and talking about their situation at least that has been my experience thus far.
Yvette is doing an incredible job of helping me better understand my personal feelings and navigate the emotional damage done by loving an addict. She has helped me realize I was not a cause of his addiction but I was a casualty of his battle with addiction.
Where do I begin? Yvette is an answered prayer and what I have needed for so long. I have been avoiding counseling for my depression and anxiety for a while and I wish I had Yvette as my counselor sooner. She is kind, funny, understanding, respectful, intelligent, tough (in a good-supportive way) and downright amazing. In the short time that I have been with Yvette, I already notice a change in my attitude and thoughts. She learned quickly that I like to be challenged and she has done just that. It is so nice having an unbiased and professional person walking through my depression and anxiety with me. I cannot thank Yvette enough and the help she has already given me.
Yvette is clearly an expert in her field. She's kind, empathetic, and practical, and has been more than willing to work with me at my own pace, using the techniques that are most comfortable for me. She is warm and easy to talk to, and has checked in on me to offer advice and encouragement through messaging between our phone sessions. I feel much better and much more in control of my anxiety since I started working with Yvette.
Even during the first session I saw that Yvette cares about helping me, listening, letting me be heard, and is willing to be direct and honest and say what I didn't even realize I needed to hear. Every session so far with Yvette has "a-ha!" moments that give me new insight and direction, and she supports me throughout each week in addressing what I'm experiencing and working on the very realistic goals we set together for me. Would recommend her to anyone who would benefit from being cared for, understood, guided, and learning about themselves and the challenges they're facing.
Yvette has helped me immensely in a short period of time, she’s given me tools to help manage my concerns and I’ve already seen the benefit!
Thus far in our therapy relationship Yvette has been wonderful. Very understanding and supportive. I greatly appreciate being able to talk to her without judgement.
Very friendly and very professional. She is particularly insightful and clearly listens to what you are saying.
Yvette listens intently, understands and gives helpful, professional advice in a very friendly manner, and always replies to my journals objectively and positively. She is kind and approachable.
Good feedback when I am reluctant to open up and show parts of me, helpful and understanding even with my past of bad behaviors and current struggles.
I did not think this way of counseling would benefit me in anyway but my experience with the app and my counselor, Yvette, was a good one. I enjoyed the conversations, guidelines etc we had. I'm getting better each day.
Yvette is considerate and thoughtful during my sessions. She brings a positive and upbeat energy, which helps make difficult topics more comfortable.
