Wendy has literally been a life-saver for me. She has put up with on-again off-again therapy sessions with my crazy self for 3-4 years and she has always provided excellent feedback and clear cut direction for me in times of deep confusion and need.

Wendy's been counseling me for several years now. She is patient, fair, professional and patient. Her advice and guidance has been indispensable to me in working through some deeply ingrained codependent tendencies and other personality problems that other methods I've taken haven't really helped much with.

More about Wendy

  • 5 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPC

Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with over 5 years of experience working as a clinical mental health counselor. I have worked with clients in diverse settings and with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, sexuality and gender issues, relationship issues, grief, and trauma . My experience has taught me the strength of each individual and the interconnectedness we are all a part of.

I believe that counseling is a partnership. My counseling approach combines a person-centered, strengths-based, and positive psychology foundation with evidence based interventions that draw from models such as CBT, DBT, ACT, REBT, and TF-CBT. In other words, I approach counseling with a focus on you: the uniqueness of who you are, the opinions and views you hold of the world, and how the choices you have made have helped you survive and gotten you this far. I provide warmth and a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, no matter what they may be. I am not afraid to have challenging conversations focused on positive change and am committed to offering support, empowerment, and compassion every step of the way.

You have taken a bold, brave step toward living your best life...the only way out is through!

I look forward to working with you!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Wendy is so amazing! After trying a few therapists and not really feeling a connection with anyone, I was starting to lose hope, but within minutes of talking to Wendy, I knew she was the perfect fit! She is attentive, supportive, and offers great insight. And she seems to really care about what is going on in my life and asks great questions. Would absolutely recommend her!

Wendy is a wonderful counselor. She is a great listener and asks insightful, thought provoking questions. Her warm, compassionate manner makes me feel comfortable and supported, but not coddled, on my journey for personal growth. She is responsive in messaging, checks in when she hasn't heard back, and works around her client's needs. She takes the time to understand who you are, what you're coming from, and what you're looking to get out of counseling/ how to achieve it together. I am so pleased to have been matched with Wendy and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Wendy has been fantastic and has helped me to come to see myself (thoughts, behaviors, beliefs) and to take direction in ways that I probably wouldn't have been able to do via advice from friends, family, my partner or even my AA sponsor. I feel like I have had a spiritual / mental growth spurt over the past few weeks, and I attribute a lot of it to Wendy's subtle and objective guidance in her timely responses to my crazy quarantine journal entries.
