Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She is good at what she does and listens very well
Shannon has changed my worldview in such a positive way. I had a challenging life event bring me to BetterHealth, and I’m so grateful to have been partnered with her. She’s giving me tools and language to process my feelings, and I look forward to our continued work together.
Shannon is compassionate and wise, and she seemed to grasp the roots of my problems quite quickly after one conversation. She gave practical advice and homework, and after working with her I came away with a better understanding of myself and my difficult feelings. Thanks Shannon!
Shannon really listens. Her suggestions are clear and really helpful
She is a great listener
Has made a big difference in the quality of my life
Shannon is flexible in her approach to the issues I present helping me look at them from various angles and points of view. She respects my opinion and efforts at change and the person with whom I have issues. Her objectivity is appreciated. She is encouraging and recognizes progress. I have recommended both her and BetterHelp.
This is a great way to access counseling.
Shannon is a compassionate listener who is knowledgeable with suggestions and appreciates the effort it takes to change behaviors. I started with three goals in mind and we have worked on them as requested. Her feedback helps me navigate the issues I'm dealing with. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
Very friendly, supportive, and careing.
She has been very helpful! She is helping me gain confidence in myself as I overcome my troubles in my past and daily life.
Very helpful, understanding, and patient, Shannon does not push for more than I am ready to give. She helps in the ways that are most beneficial for my personal experience without minimizing what I tell her.
Shannon is an amazing counselor. She listens to what I have to say and always makes me see the good progress I am making and helps me stay on track. I love betterhelp's platform where we can chat or she can send worksheets etc between sessions. I have had counseling before but this by far is my favorite method and counselor.
I have always been skeptical about therapy. After my first session with Shannon, I am fully convinced therapy is exactly what I need to better myself.
Shannon has already been a massive support to me in a time of imminent crisis, and she's able to provide me with the skills and advice to take everything in my life in stride. She is understanding, caring, and an intentional listener and she wants the best for YOU and you can feel it.
She is a great person and does her job well.
