I've been with my therapist four years now. She's amazing.

I have had a handful of therapists on and off, and everyone in therapy knows it can take a while to get to work with someone that you really click with. When I matched with Laura it was through an EAP program where I got sessions for free. I loved Laura’s gentle nature, expertise, and kindness so much that I began paying to see her after my EAP ended, and have moved through multiple platforms to stick with her. She makes you feel validated while also being able to suggest alternative ways of thought that challenge you. Thank you Laura!!

More about Laura

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the field for over 10 years. I graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2009 with a Masters in Social Work. I have worked with a wide range of individuals in areas including depression, anxiety, stress management, coping with grief/loss, mood disorders and parenting/relationship issues.

I find it very important to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust. I believe we can all grow through challenging experiences by increasing our self-awareness. It is truly important to be able to share our personal struggles and experiences without the fear of being judged. I pride myself on being warm, compassionate, open minded and non-judgmental. I utilize several techniques in my counseling style but a few are Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness/DBT, Solution-Focused and, most important, person centered.

Whether you are going through a difficult time, are seeking change or simply need an ear to listen, I am here to support you in your journey.

I've been working with her for years because we've built a repore and she's always helpful. It's been a consistent positive experience working with her. I'm so grateful to have her as a part of my tool box and to have this platform to communicate with her like I do.

Laura has helped me through incredibly difficult familial, personal, and professional issues during a time when I could barely wake up without feeling overwhelmed. She continues to help challenge my not-so-helpful thought processes and provides a safe space where I can unload. Laura takes the time to reach out countless times, even when there is radio silence. She has provided a number of tools, such as a happiness journal template, and anxiety-controlling steps to aid in the efforts of being more mindful and present. Because of Laura, I was able to come out to my parents and manage a very stressful job. I have recommended Laura to a number of colleagues, friends, and family members already, and will continue to do so.
