I am well versed in several counseling techniques and have a compassionate approachable demeanor. My counseling experience is above par and I am also organized with an attention to detail. Clients warm up to me quickly and I enjoy helping them reach goals and learn new thinking patterns to view life in a more positive manner. My therapeutic style incorporates expert listening, positive feedback, direct guidance, and creating an environment where you will feel comfortable to discuss your personal thoughts and feelings. Therapy is a safe place to discuss things that cannot be shared with family, friends, or colleagues. It can also be used for personal growth, increasing emotional intelligence, developing coping skills, and creating positive change in your life. We all have strengths that we can develop, as well as challenges from which we can grow. Each crisis in our lives is an opportunity for healing and growth.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Haven't yet had a ton of time. But I will say he is not stingy with the time slot, and it is obvious that he cares about his clients. As someone new to any type of therapy, he does a good job of making it comfortable. Including joking about things, talking about hobbies, and even reading the room so to speak and poking fun at me (I specifically bond with people better when we can joke about eachother a bit) It also helps that he is down to earth and very much admits that he is human and makes mistakes.

Dr. Craig is an amazing, down to earth human being. He puts his patients at ease by his funny & kind attitude with an ability to connect easily. A patient listener who always ends the session by saying he's always there for us and that he can be contacted by any means necessary. He has his way of zeroing in on the main issue(s) and helped me move forward from there. He never looks at the time till he knows that the session's been fruitful. He's the guy I wish I had started out with.

Reviewed June 2022

Dr Rice is an amazing therapist. He has the ability to be fair and see both sides of the picture and can give you alternatives to your dilemma. I have found that Craig will even follow up with a note if you haven’t booked a further appointment. I have used his services three different times. He has helped me with the extreme changes in my life. Last year I had succumbed to a horrific health issue, a spinal cord injury leading to paralysis and being in a wheelchair for life. Due to this I had extreme emotional turmoil accepting what had happened. He took the time to let me vent and then try alternative ways to accept my disability as much as I can. This has changed my whole life and it has been hard to adjust mentally, physically and emotionally. I have constant pain 24 hours a day. Dr Rice continues to support my needs and recently I needed validation with a dilemma concerning a friend of 20 years who lives in another province or state(U.S). A person that I had for 20 plus year and someone that I relied on now does not want see me in person as its too hard for her to see me in a wheelchair. I seeked Dr. Rice about this issue recently and was able to validate my opinion and emotions. He has helped me not to succumb into a deeper depression that I already have now. Please seek his help as he has been able to lift me up from my severe depression.
