Michelle is great! I felt a connection with her before we even had our first video conference and we were just messaging back and forth. She is very knowledgeable and is super supportive of my struggles. She has been a great resource for me and a wonderful person to talk to and give feedback. I would recommend her to everyone.

Welcome and thank you for considering my services.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor currently practicing in the state of Missouri for over 10 years. Counseling is my 2nd career and my true calling. Before I decided to follow this path, I spent over 15 years in the travel industry, living in Pennsylvania and Texas, and traveling across the US and Europe. I mention this because I believe it's helped me to become more culturally aware and open-minded in both my personal life and career.
I have experience working with adults of all ages and across many settings, including private practice and intensive outpatient programs. Some of the most common issues I help my clients work through are depression, anxiety, work related stress, relationship problems, low self esteem, grief, divorce, chronic health issues, and dealing with major life changes. Previous clients have described me as compassionate, caring, practical, jovial, helpful, and encouraging and I continue to be inspired by their courage and dedication.
I consider my approach to be positive, holistic, and solution focused and I specialize in cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy. I believe mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness are keys to a life worth living.
It would be an honor to accompany you on this journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
