My journey as a therapist started in 2008 when I began my graduate work at Cairn University. I graduated in 2012 and began working at the University Counseling Center and accumulating hours towards my license. Throughout the next several years I split my time between private practice and doing assessments at the psychiatric hospital. Between these two venues I was privileged to participate in providing the full range of mental health services available within the community and worked with people from all walks of life and levels of need.
Over the last 9 years I have worked helped individuals and families deal with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship concerns, and stress management. I've walked with people through times of crisis, job searches, and stage of life transitions. In particular, I know first hand the burden families face when a loved one is chronically ill and how to help people navigate through those challenges. My approach to therapy utilizes practices from a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic interventions along with mind-body techniques. I have a strong passion for integrative medicine and therefore consider all aspects of a person’s life pertinent to their wellbeing. Each person is a unique and therefore every person requires a unique approach tailored just for them. I can be a strong voice, inserting direct feedback and challenge or I can gently assist and guide you to find your way. I am here to laugh, cry, strive, and fight with you. My joy is to see people discover more of their true self, to overcome personal obstacles, and to learn contentment in the midst of unpredictable life trials. I am grateful for every opportunity that I am given to share in another's journey of life.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Jessica is an excellent counsellor. She has genuinely cared about it. Listening is her superpower.
Jessica is a thoughtful and likeable person. Our conversations have really helped me.
Jessica is kind, respectful and listens intently to your concerns. She also listens to what you don't say, which often helps to dive into the root of what may be causing you angst or worry. I started seeing Jessica during the pandemic and the unexpected anxiety that accompanied it. She was able to help identify and verbalize why I was struggling, why we are all struggling, and recommend tools to help overcome it. We continue to meet via video calls and chat in between appointments as needed. I am so glad I have her in my corner.
Jessica is very helpful, right now the situation in my life is very odd and strange.
I've been working with Jessica for several months and she has been incredibly insightful and does a wonderful job of balancing listening and guiding. I am very fortunate to be connected with her and to be able to continue working through everything.

Jessica has helped me tremendously in just the short time we’ve been speaking. She has helped me answer questions about myself that I didn’t know I needed answers to. She has made me think about aspects of myself that I wouldn’t ordinarily want to explore. She has been an awesome guide to me so far and I look forward to working with her more in the future.
Jessica is very insightful and is helping me feel hopeful for a better future.
