I am a marriage and family therapist with a PhD in Developmental Psychology. I have 7 years of experience working as a therapist, and 25 years of experience working as a coach. I have accumulated a wide range of experience working with a diverse clientele. I have worked in school based mental health, addiction treatment, and residential treatment for children and teens. I have also worked in an outpatient setting treating severe and persistent mental illness. I have worked with children and teens that have had severe trauma through Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have also worked extensively with struggling families. Some of the many issues I have worked with people on are depression, anxiety, self-harm, addiction, trauma, parenting problems, relationship issues, ADHD, sexual abuse, pornography addiction, and anger management.
My therapeutic style is to first listen to your story. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to listen to that experience. I try to treat everyone with respect, dignity, compassion, and understanding. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, Bowenian, motivational interviewing, and rational-emotive behavioral therapy methods. I believe in a client-centered collaborative approach in which I work to understand needs and goals that are specific to you. Your specific goals will guide our discussion and formulate your treatment plan.
We all have times in our life when we could use some perspective and help with reaching our goals. We will work together to create a treatment plan and interventions that are unique to your situation. I welcome the opportunity to assist you in reaching your goals.
I look forward to getting to know you and working together!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Listens,
Brenden is a great therapist to work with and has really helped me deal with some acute issues but also dig deeper into longer lasting ones. A very good listener who picks up on key things one isn't aware of and is consistently able to provide insight and advice in a very humane way that isn't cold or judgmental. I have greatly benefitted from therapy and the tools that I am learning to develop.
Brendon is great to work with, always positive, gives and explains advice that is appropriate and timely. Awesome to work with.

Brenden has been a great support in my recovery. He is an excellent listener and takes a logical approach to therapy. He offers real, tangible ideas and actions that are easy to implement into my life. Extremely grateful for Brenden’s insights and highly recommend him to others.
He is very patient with my scheduling screw ups. He also provides insightful options for another way to look at life’s struggles.
So far his wisdom is appreciated greatly!
Even when I'm wrapped up in the happenings of day to day life and I'm not able to get online to casually message, he doesn't shame me or pressure me to just do video calls or phone calls, which I appreciate immensely. My speech and thoughts are not as organized as when I write, so chatting via messenger is a great way for me to communicate efficiently.
I like the fact that he has experienced pretty much every aspect in life so you know when he says he can relate you know he is telling the truth! He listens well and has great advice and believes in second chances!
Brenden has offered some great feedback and advice from the very beginning of our sessions. He's been great at getting up to speed in a very complex situation.
Brenden has helped me immensely in battling my past trauma. I'm confident in what I learned and am so proud of how far I've come – and I have him to thank.
Brenden is a very caring and helpful person to talk to. Responds in a timely manner and is willing to put in the extra work if you truly need it.
Brenden's advice during a traumatic family crisis has been invaluable. He has given me tools in my toolbelt - ways to cope, focus on the truth, and care for myself - and it has gotten me through. He also sent extensive intake forms before we met, so that from our very first meeting, he knew a lot about me and my situation. I would recommend him to anyone needing help.
The best part for me is that he actually listens to what I am saying and gets what I am going through no matter what it may be!
Brenden has been very helpful to me.
