Hello! My name is Leah Walker. I am a therapist in Kentucky, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia with 10 years of experience. I earned my Masters Degree from Austin Peay University in 2014. I have worked with a variety of populations, including incarcerated, inpatient, outpatient, military, families, adolescents, and children. My experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, career challenges, mood disorders and military-related issues. I have also worked with clients who struggle with stress, loss, abuse/neglect, and the frustrations of life.

I describe my style of counseling as empathetic, client-centered, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I have experience using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. However, I meet the client where they are at. I tailor my counseling style to the client's needs. I will tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Everyone deserves to have someone to talk to who provides a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental environment. I would love to work with you to help achieve your goals.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
