Hello, my name is Lauren Barr, and I'm so glad that you have reached out for help. It can be difficult to seek out therapy, and it is the first step in making positive changes in your life. I hope that I can help you during this difficult time.

I have been a therapist for four years. I have worked with teenagers, families, and individuals to set them up for success. I combine DBT, CBT, Mindfulness and Motivational practices to help people identify skill sets that help them overcome issues that may be stalling them from things they want. How can I help you? I work from a strength's based perspective; what skills or talents do you have that might lend themselves to overcoming issues in your everyday life. I then help you identify new or rusty coping skills as a practical approach to getting what you want. Most of all, I am here to listen to you, and help you in anyway I can.

I hope that I might be a good fit for you. I believe that together, we can set you up for success and a new found confidence.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

So far Lauren has been very helpful and caring about my concerns. She has given me tips on mindfulness and ways to have a better night's sleep with a clear head. Our conversations feel like I'm talking to a friend and not a counselor or therapist. Appreciate our talks and her help.
