Michah is awesome! Not only is she a wonderful listener and great at holding space for you when you need it most, she is insightful and empathetic. As a side note, I have laughed with Micah and I didn't know how much I needed that. I so appreciate her support when I've needed it the most!

Hi, I am so glad you're looking for support. You're on the right path and you've come to the right place. A little background on me is that I am a survivor of a life full of complex trauma and I am married to another survivor. Throughout the experiences that shaped me, understanding how I am wired, both biologically and from my experiences, ultimately helped me beat the grim statistics for how my life might turn out and led me to become a counselor so I can help other people live with healed intention.

Having both the clinical training and the lived experience of a multitude of the symptoms and stressors facing people today, I take the humanistic and person-in-environment approach to treatment while I tailor the use of a multitude of evidenced based therapeutic modalities to meet your needs because as I see it, cookie cutter counseling is ineffective and I suspect you're here because you want results. I am trained in many modalities, but the ones I use the most include CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, Imago Counseling, psychodynamic theory, and strengths based counseling.

I have worked with people with a variety of needs including depression, anxiety, ADHD, infidelity, low self esteem, communication trouble, un processed or under processed trauma and many more. I believe that in addition to evidence based intervention that self-awareness, empowering self-talk, and interpersonal communication are integral to mental and emotional wellness. With extensive experience providing person-centered and evidenced based counseling, I am attuned to the needs of my patients and ready to help them become their truest, most authentic and healed version of themselves.

I am described by my clients as relatable, trustworthy, encouraging, and knowledgeable. I am ready to get to work when you are. I look forward to working with you whenever you're ready.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I’ve been talking to Micah for two weeks now and I’ve never enjoyed therapy so much. She is so kind, sweet and professional. She always responds in a timely manner and helps me understand myself a lot better and at the same time makes it seem like I’m talking to a friend.

I have only had a few sessions with Micah-Jane so far but I have loved both of them very much! She has given me great insight and makes me feel heard! Can't wait to continue growing and applying what I'm learning into my life and continue growing to become the best version of myself! :)

Micah is a godsend! She is the definition of what a therapist should be! She definitely cares about her patients and always helps me to reach those hard conclusions by myself. She empowers me to be the bad a** bitc* that I have always known to be. I'm so grateful to her! Thank you! ❤️❤️

As a physician for 36.5 years, and 25 year Army veteran, I am uniquely qualified to assess other health care providers. Micah-Jane Neese is a truly exceptional mental health professional. She truly understands my struggles and provides excellent insight and thought provoking mental exercises that help me understand my true feelings. She is helping me navigate a transgender transformation and being supremely supportive. Through recommended books I have been able to pinpoint my need for quality time as the key component for making me feel loved. I have also gained insight and understanding of my role as a caretaker. We are working on helping me take better care of myself. If you want to achieve self actualization and become a happier person, she will provide the counseling to help you on your journey toward loving yourself and being true to yourself.
