Hello, my name is Jillian Przybysz-Quick and I look forward to working with you through BetterHelp. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Michigan with over 6 years of experience in mental-health and social services. I have an undergraduate degree in Social Work and Sociology from Hope College and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University.

As a counselor, I believe every individual is unique and so are there their experiences. Each client has a story that is compelling, presenting opportunities to learn and grow. In terms of therapeutic technique and strategy, one size will never fit all. As a clinician, I strive to tailor my approaches to each individual client to help best meet their needs. I have worked with people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, behavioral challenges, anger issues, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, trauma/abuse, separation/divorce, and significant life changes.

Taking steps towards improved mental health is a brave move, and I am thankful for this platform to help people grow and learn. We can work together towards healing and recovery in a safe and understanding environment. I promise to be an empathetic listener and make sure you feel heard. I utilize techniques from the following evidenced-based therapies: cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and the strengths based perspective. I strive to use client-centered therapy methods by empowering my clients to be a part of their own change and allowing them to make the decisions that will impact their overall well-being.

I generally check messages here a few times per day Monday-Saturday and respond as quickly as I can. Please let me know if you have any questions about me or my experiences. I look forward to talking with you soon and helping you take that first step to improve your life.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
