I’ve only done a couple sessions with Heather so far but I already feel comfortable speaking with her. She helps keep me on topic but I never feel like I’m forced to talk about anything which is greatly appreciated.

Reviewed Aug 2022

Heather is extremely easy to talk to and really meets me where I'm at. She never pushes too hard but is adept at gently moving a conversation into a deeper and more introspective discussion. She has helped me so much with my struggles to communicate my needs and be kind to myself. Plus she has a great sense of humor!

I feel passionate that everyone has a unique life story, and that some of life's chapters deserve a closer look to bring about improved coping, healing, and positive change. My approach is eclectic and trauma informed. I draw upon reality theory and the study of behaviors and neurocognitive development. I use CBT, mindfulness, and other practices as appropriate. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I've never had therapy before and was not sure what to expect. I've always felt I was able to keep a good grip and do various techniques on my own to help improve whatever I was struggling with, but it's just not the same. Being able to share completely freely, and having an expert dig into your issues helps so much. Heather has been great with advice, various small practices to help improve my situation. She's always felt like a good listener AND been able to dig deeper into the origin of issues, and giving he helpful tips & exercises to help overcome them. The therapy sessions so far have taught me that even if I think I'm coping well & have a "plan of action", it's just not the same as writing/talking it out, and getting some expert help. It's so worth it, give it a try!

She's great. I'm pretty sure she's extremely busy with other clients and her own life.

Reviewed Oct 2020

She is awesome, actually answers all your questions about things and does not make it feel like an interrogation line of questioning, it feels like your talking with a person and not being read like a book.
