More about Angie

Hello! I'm a licensed clinical social worker with 7 years of experience as a therapist working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, women's issues, parenting problems, with a special focus in thought disorders and psychosis. I have also helped those who have suffered trauma and significant life changes. My therapy style is warm, supportive, compassionate, and honest. I believe that creating a trusting and open relationship is the key to therapeutic success. I also believe that mental health is physical health, and integrating wellness practices (big or small) are critical to long term mental health wellness. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and compassion focused therapy styles. My goal is to help you achieve your goals and find improvement in your life.

I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable. I find it helpful to participate in video sessions so that we can get to know each other better. However, I am also available to you via phone and text if that is more comfortable for you. A majority of my availability is in the evenings and on the weekends but I check messages at least once during each weekday.

I know that it is difficult to find the right therapist and begin this journey. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey to wellness.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
