Hi, my name is Ula and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Michigan. I would describe myself as easy-going and down-to-earth with a good sense of humor. My mission is to help others experience being seen, heard, and understood. In doing this, I hope to empower individuals to find ways to grow to their full potential.
In order to provide therapy to others, I attended Siena Heights University to earn a master's degree in community counseling. For about seven years, I have been working with individuals and families with a variety of challenges such as family conflict, trauma, depression and anxiety, stress-related issues, communication challenges, self-esteem, and much more. I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling to meet the unique needs of individuals that support them to work on their mental health goals. These evidence based approaches include Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I truly look forward to helping you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Only had one session but I'm very optimistic about her
Ula is the best therapist I’ve had. She’s incredibly kind and helpful and I’ve made tons of progress in the time that she’s been my therapist.
I have trauma based issues starting in childhood that Ula has done an excellent job addressing. I'm able to process this trauma and move forward with my life, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I highly recommend Ula if you are dealing with trauma and have specific goals in mind.
I really like ula, she does amazing at her job and really understands me, she helps me with everything I'm going through and helps find the best solutions for me.
Ula has been such a great support for me over the last 6 months. I have been able to work through some difficult trauma that has surfaced, as well as trauma I have experienced from my job. She always listens to my concerns and challenges me to look at my reactions/behaviors to certain situations. She’s a wonderful therapist! The best one I’ve worked with!
