Welcome! My name is Allison, and I’m a professional counselor. I’ve been practicing for 17 years in a variety of settings including middle schools, high schools, and private practice. I have experience in many areas including (but not limited to) anxiety, stress, self-esteem, grief, depression, and life transitions. I graduated with my BA from Cedarville University and my MA in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.
My style of therapy is warm and personal. I am an excellent listener, with great empathy and compassion. I promise to treat you with sensitivity, respect, and warmth by getting to know you as a unique individual. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we can jointly come up with goals and solutions that will work best for you. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Humanistic Therapies, Solution Focused Therapy, and Behavioral Therapies.
Seeking therapy can be a difficult decision to make, and I commend you for wanting to create a better life for yourself! I would love to support you and be part of your journey toward a happier, more peaceful, fulfilling life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
