I believe that therapy, just like any relationship, is about two people. It’s not just about the therapist, you have to want to change too. That being said, Kristin is a wonderful person to work with, and she really tries to understand your struggles and help you navigate through your problems. I like talking to her and with her, and her words feel accurate and insightful. I’m happy that I could find such a good therapist on my first try. I hope that you can see it your yourself, but at least I would definitely recommend working with Kristin !

Kristin helped me to identify the issue and gave me an advice to check with a nearby Psychiatrist to get the right medication. She listened carefully to all what I have explained, asked very good questions that helped me to understand my situation better. She respond in a timely fashion, and, in case she has an urgent event, she makes sure to inform me.

Hello, my name is Kristin and I have over 22 years experience working in the mental health field. Over the years I have worked in a variety of settings including a community mental health agency, a psychiatric hospital, an outpatient clinic, and also providing therapy in county jails. This experience has enable me to work with a broad range and intensity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship issues, and addictions. My counseling style is warm, interactive and encouraging. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, person-centered and psychodynamic therapy. We will work together as a team to identify your treatment goals and objectives and I will support you on your path to positive change. I believe the therapeutic relationship is really the key to a successful counseling experience.
I have participated in treatment myself in the past to navigate some of life challenges, so I can appreciate the fact that reaching out for help can be a challenge. Unfortunately, there is still so much stigma around having mental health issues and the process for getting help can be overwhelming and intimidating. However, I also know from experience how much life can change for the better when you find support and take steps towards taking care of yourself!
I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I applaud you for taking this first step in reaching out for help to build a better life for yourself.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Kind, patient, listens and actually understands
Kristin and I spoke for around 6 months and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She was incredibly good at making me feel comfortable with the entire process, as well as knowing when to joke around versus being serious. She always was happy to listen and was super thoughtful if any scheduling adjustments or unforeseen issues popped up. We worked through many issues that I initially felt I would never be able to speak with anyone about, but through her help, I managed and have worked through a lot. In the future, should I need more therapy, I will happily return to her! Thanks so much for all your help Kristin!
