More about Sara

  • 22 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPCC

My work experience includes work as a clinician in Community Mental Health Centers in both urban and rural settings. Individuals I have had the pleasure to work with include people struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, divorce, life changing events, work difficulties, brain injury, intellectual challenges, personality challenges and many others. I spent many years working as the Clinical Director of a very large Community Mental Health Center giving me a varied experience of clientele and issues.

My style of therapy is to work together as a team to figure out how to feel better, think clearer, and act in-line with the way you desire. My approach is warm, welcoming and supportive. I prefer a client centered approach and use unconditional nonjudgmental positive regard as my mainstay in the therapeutic relationship.

Reaching out for help can be very difficult and I encourage you to take a breath and make the call for yourself. I will be happy to work with you when you are ready to start.

Change your mind, change your life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I wasn’t sure what a compatible therapist would look like for me until I connected with Sarah during a crisis in my life. I reached out to anyone desperately asking for help and Sara was there for me in a flash. I felt truly heard and understood. I was given tools right away to work with my emotions, not against them, and offered more productive ways of analyzing my thoughts, emotions and relationships. Sara made me feel safe and comfortable, but also helped me look at situations practically and helped me realize where I might need to work on myself more. I’m very grateful for our sessions!
