My belief in the resilience of the human spirit inspired me to become a professional counselor 20 years ago. I have clinical experience in every level of behavioral healthcare and I have advanced training and practice in understanding how the early experience of trauma impacts a developing child’s brain. I am motivated by the power of trauma sensitive treatment to assist my clients in growth and healing.
My general approach to therapy is one of a partnership of experts. No one has more expertise than you do on your own experience. I have training and expertise that I can offer to hopefully deepen your understanding, provide new perspectives, and facilitate change. Most importantly, it's my privilege and commitment to provide an environment of unconditional acceptance and respect for your thoughts and values. I am comfortable with any pace of therapy and I believe that I should be pushing you a little bit harder than you are pushing yourself—pushing you forward, never pushing you down.
I have extensive experience in working with families formed from adoption and foster care. I am affirming of all sexual and gender identities, all faiths and all religions. I utilize several clinical modalities including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I enjoy counseling with adults, couples, families, and children. I have extensive experience in crisis intervention and crisis stabilization and am comfortable supporting individuals with symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, difficulty in relationships, parenting, career/employment stress, substance use and stress management.
I am passionate about connecting with vulnerable individuals in our community to offer hope and eliminating the stigma of illness and addiction.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Angie is the absolute best! I always feel so supported.
Angie has been very helpful and provides a welcoming and safe space to talk. Her skills with identifying key points and follow up throughout my therapy journey has made me feel very seen and heard. She also creates a very accommodating and reliable schedule. Her expertise has helped facilitate important realizations and knowledge, highlighting crucial blind spots in my perspective while reassuring my validity regarding the challenging life experiences that brought me to the Betterhelp Platform. I am very thankful for her support and recommend her to others!
She is so sweet and funny. She gives you a space to talk about any range of topics from lighthearted to something more serious. Angie provides lots of resources and tips you can apply to lots of situations :)
Angie's support has massively boosted my mental health. She has been a wonderful support and I know that she has my best interest.
Speaking with Angie is incredibly helpful. She is kind and listens without judgment, so it is very easy to talk to her and be honest about where I'm at. Angie also checks in on me and has sent me incredibly helpful resources to cope and tackle day-to-day stressors, as well as larger underlying issues. Angie is observant too, and points out things I may not have noticed, and offers insight that has helped shift my perspective on things. I'm excited to keep working with Angie, and I'm glad to have been matched with her!
Angie is the best therapist I’ve ever had and could ever imagine. I wish everyone could work with Angie, but I also don’t want to tell anyone about her so that I always get a session time. My life has improved so much in less than a year with her, compared to a year and a half with very little improvement with my last therapist. I’d rate her 1000/10.
I feel incredibly lucky to have Angie as my therapist. I have grown so much and learned so many new ways to cope with my problems since I started therapy with Angie. She's truly the best.
