Hello, my name is Tammy and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 13 years. I have been fortunate in working with people of all ages and with various life experiences. My area of skills includes anger and conflict management, interpersonal issues, peer relationships, stress management, marital issues, and school related issues. Throughout my career I have worked with families that are experiencing stress or conflict, couples who are struggling with interpersonal conflict, and individuals. I practice Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy.

The first step on your path is seeking support. I believe that your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Establishing a caring relationship and a safe environment is critical to a successful therapeutic experience. My goal is to assist you on your journey of building your strengths, identifying personal resources, and developing decision making and coping skills. I am committed to helping you achieve your goal of mental wellness. I look forward to working with you.

I am also approved to supervise counselors for licensure in the State of Missouri.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
