Hello there! Welcome to my page.

I am a licensed professional therapist from New Jersey. I'd like to consider myself as "Not your average counselor." I was a good student in my academic years and was very active in sports. I was able to play baseball in college and professionally, for a short period of time. After my athletic career ended, I worked on becoming a counselor. I graduated with honors and have been working in the field since receiving my degree in 2011. I currently work as an Intensive In-Home Counselor (IIC) with the at-risk population. Since I became a counselor, I have been working with clients from ages 5-22.

The clients I work with now and those I have worked with in the past have had a wide range of concerns such as: ADHD, PTSD, ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ODD, Anger Management, Grief/Loss, Adjustment issues, Anxiety, Criminal/Legal issues, Helping foster children transition into new homes, Self-esteem/Self worth issues, Depression, Academic concerns, College preparation, self-harming thoughts, and Goal-setting to name a few.

My counseling style is fun and interactive. I believe that working together is the best way to solve problems and grow as an individual. At heart, I am a client-centered existentialist, but will adjust the dialogue and interventions to best meet the needs of those I work with. Other styles I have incorporated in my session have been CBT, REBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma focused, mindfulness based, and gestalt approaches.

You are taking the right steps in wanting to address what's going on in your life. Let's take more steps together in a positive direction to accomplish the goals you have for yourself. I'm looking forward to speaking to you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
