- LCMHC, LPC
Hello, my name is Jerry Guy LCMHC, LCAS. I completed my Masters in Counseling at Liberty University in 2014. I began my counseling career working with clients addicted to opiates. This experience allowed me the opportunity to see the person behind the addiction and help them to find themselves and hope for a new life. I have worked with people from all walks of life and I truly love what I do. My goal is to make everyone I meet feel comfortable and safe and to help them understand they are defined by their past and they can still create the life they want. I believe we all have value and I work to help people grow and succeed . I have been on my own for the past 2 years and I am currently with couples and individuals. I use a variety of different methods and techniques that are tailored to my clients needs. I believe that through my education and life experience I am able to provide a supportive and empathetic approach that helps my clients achieve the results that they want.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Jerry has been wonderful through this entire process. He makes it very easy to identify clear actions that I need to take to resolve my issues. He has made himself available to answer questions and given sound advice based in scripture. The experience that results is a blessing from God.
Excellent counselor.
I have only worked with Jerry a bit but it has been very useful. He is thoughtful and listens well and offers great insight as well as checking up. I have been very satisfied with my sessions.
Jerry is compassionate, and Christ centered in his practice. He is very insightful about causation and yet very gentle in his delivery. Therapy sessions with him seem like talking to an old friend who happens to be a great counselor. As a woman, I feel comfortable discussing delicate matters with him, he is very professional and caring. I highly recommend him.
Jerry has a knack for being able to pull things out that I had never thought of! Happy with his guidance thus far!
