Hello! My name is Allison and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with over 10 years of experience. I completed my education at Kent State University then completed a Master of Arts from Ursuline College focusing on Art Therapy and Counseling.
Art, creativity, and personal expression play a large role in my life and I enjoy working with clients to help them find creative and personalized solutions to address their concerns. I use an eclectic approach pulling from cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, psycho-dynamic, client focused, and solution focused therapies to help my clients find the approaches that work for them.
My counseling style is warm, caring, and collaborative, and I enjoy sharing resources, tools, and techniques with each client to aid them in addressing their concerns. I have worked with clients in a variety of settings including shelters, community outpatient, private practice, outpatient and inpatient hospital settings, jails, and prisons.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, mental health and psychosis, trauma and abuse, relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns, substance abuse, addiction, hoarding, financial concerns, incarceration and reintegration concerns.
I believe in providing open, honest, compassionate, non-judgmental regard to each individual that I work with. My clients are the experts on their lives and experiences; and my role is to support, comfort, and provide tools to help you address concerns and get better outcomes in your life.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Allison has really been instrumental in helping me navigate through a rough divorce and help me discover and see things about myself that I never realized. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing counseling.

Allison communicates with me and really does care! She listens and always asks questions that get me to think and figure things out for myself with guidance.
Has given me some good advice. Very open-minded and even though it's only been a little over a week or so has definitely helped a bit. She is also an artist and having an interest in art myself has given me some good advice on that subject as well.
