More about Kimberlie

  • 14 years' experience

  • LCSW

Hello, I appreciate you looking into my profile.

My name is Kimberlie Miller, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have worked in mental health for the past 20 years, and have worked in multiple areas of social work, including mental health, hospice care, and hospital, and school settings. I use a strengths based foundational approach with Clients, taking the time to understand what is and is not working for them and what they are comfortable and willing to try. My strength is in providing unconditional positive regard to my Clients and understanding that I am a guide and facilitator of change, but not the change maker. I have worked with a multitude of mental health diagnoses, life adjustments, career changes, grief, death and dying, and trauma(s), as well as health and wellness support.

I use a combination of treatment modalities including brief solution focused treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing (among others). I am comfortable working with individuals, couples, and families, realizing that we are rarely alone in our journey to wellness. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet with you and help you implement behavioral changes to achieve your own personal goals and desires.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Kimberlie is great! I’ve had many therapists, so I know what I need, and she listened to that. She is a very good listener, and helps me rethink situations.

Reviewed September 2021

Kimberlie is supportive, understanding, and a good listener. She often encourages me to take a different perspective than the one I would tend to gravitate towards, and that has been extremely helpful, especially as I am negotiating out of a crisis period. I really appreciate all she does, her responses, and how communicative she is.
