I have been to a couple of therapists over the years and I can quickly tell if someone has the skills needed. Heather is fantastic! She is a great active listener, prompt, organized, prepared ( not fumbling around or rereading last sessions notes during the session), tender hearted, attentive, very kind, appropriately personal without over sharing etc, responsive, skilled at high frequency questioning very knowledgeable and just very professional. She’s a gem.

Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. Heather is a very good listener and doesn't rush to make quick judgments or responses but waits patiently to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics being discussed. Her warm manner has really helped us feel free to discuss things just as they are, bringing better self-understanding and real improvements in our relationship.
I’ve been seeing Heather for almost 2 years now. She is absolutely incredible. Listens to my every word, validates my feelings, and helps me overcome hard situations. She guides me as I grow as a person. She’s incredible
She is excellent!
Heather is fantastic. She is a great listener and makes me feel truly heard. She helps me work through what I am feeling without making me feel ashamed/stigmatized. Most importantly, she is kind, a prompt communicator, and knowledgeable in her field.
I have been talking to heather for almost a year now, and I couldn’t be more thankful for her. I’ve had a difficult time in my past finding a counselor I trusted and felt comfortable talking to, but Heather changed all of that. She gives advice that can easily be applied into your daily life so it makes moving forward a little easier.
She's the best
Heather is very comfortable to talk to
Heather has been a wonderful resource for me over the last 3 months as I restarted my journey with professional counseling. She’s been a wonderful sounding board for any concern I bring to her but has also challenged a lot of my longstanding perceptions around communication and boundaries. I’d love to recommend her to anyone who wants a compassionate, empathetic listener who will give constructive insights.
Heather is amazing. I was hesitant at first to get help because I haven’t always had the best fit when it came to counselors, but Heather makes me feel welcomed and comfortable with talking about anything.
Heather and I have been working together since September and, to be perfectly frank, without my sessions with her, I’m not sure I would have been able to navigate some of the tumultuousness that I’ve been through this last year.
Heather not only offers a wealth of knowledge and support, but is as compassionate as she is wise. She responds to my messages in a timely manner and has somehow mastered the complicated art of listening attentively while still offering the right amount of counsel and advice. If you are looking for a counselor who is trust worthy, and warm, yet extremely competent then I would highly recommend her.
Heather has been extremely helpful in uncovering issues I am dealing with and providing strategies to help me. She is patient and thoughtful and gives great resources for continued learning and growth. Definitely would recommend.
Heather Filby-Salazar is an astute listener, perceptive, available and supportive. She offers helpful tools for one to explore on their own.
Heather has been very helpful. She takes the situations I present and gives me different options on how to overcome. She is very attentive and responds numerous times throughout the day. I look forward to continuing to work with her to better myself and help understand how to retrain my mind.
