I have worked in both Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol spanning over 6 years. I have experience in working with all types of clients including highly symptomatic clients with diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, and borderline personality disorder as well as substance use disorders.
I enjoy working with clients from all types of backgrounds and all types of issues. I use several different types of therapies including person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed and existential. This basically means that I have a wide variety of tools to choose from to help you and many times I use several at once to see what works best for you. I let the client take the lead on what we discuss and where they want to go in therapy. Having said that, I am also a direct therapist and will not just sit back and ask you "how that makes you feel". If you come to me for help, I am going to give it to you, even if that means you are going to hear things sometimes that you might not want to hear. Therapy is not an easy process and it is not always a fun process. Change is hard work and it takes elbow grease and insight to make it happen.
I do like to use humor in my therapy because while therapy isn't always fun, we need to see the humor in ourselves and the world. Life it too short to sit around by ourselves being miserable. If you are interested in real change and a therapist that will walk along side you and point out things you could be doing differently, thinking about differently, or trying new things even when they are hard, then I might be the right fit for you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
