We all have struggles. Sometimes, despite our best efforts and intentions, those struggles leave us feeling overwhelmed and we may not even understand how we got here. I know how difficult it is to seek help and it is my job to make that process easier by offering a warm, empathetic and safe place to explore and address your concerns. I like to encourage a sense of curiosity and humor in our discussions, when appropriate. Rather than approach our troubles with trepidation (though it is human nature to want to avoid the uncomfortable), why not approach them with interest – be curious about who we are, how we came to be in this place in our lives, how the things we have tried have worked/not worked or even made things worse and what other options may exist that we have not yet thought of or tried? Being curious also sometimes means being willing to look for/see the humor in our struggles or the situations we face – always balancing taking our work seriously, while not taking ourselves too seriously. Learning to be curious about ourselves and the challenges we face, and to find humor and grace along the way, allows us to be less judgmental and feel less ashamed of ourselves and our struggles. If you are ready to feel more accepting of yourself and explore how you might meaningfully address the challenges in your life, I am excited to join you in this process!

I am a licensed, clinical psychologist with 18 years of experience working with individuals within a wide age range. My main focus has been working with young adult and adult populations. Some areas of expertise include: relationship concerns (e.g., romantic/partnered/marital relationships, family/friendships, school/work relationships and family of origin), depression/mood issues, anxiety/stress, identity concerns and adjusting to many of the challenges life can present to us. I have a very collaborative approach, wherein I view you as the expert on you. I offer my expertise in facilitating the process of helping you identify your strengths and resources and find your own solutions to your concerns, while also sharing my knowledge and experience as it relates to those concerns. I incorporate a number of therapeutic approaches as part of this process, using what I believe will best fit you and the difficulties discussed.

I am so glad you have decided to seek help and I look forward to speaking with you!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
