Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Melissa as I have told her has basically saved my life with all that has gone on since our sessions. She is like the new good angel/or do better voice in my head with her points and perspective which has guided me to make and take better life choices, for the most part. I speak highly of her services always and which that anyone who joins betthelp gets a Melissa.
Melissa has been absolutely amazing in my mental health journey. She has always listened to my concerns whether I was crying, laughing, or swearing during my rants. She truly lets me vent and get everything out. She knows when to offer advice and when to just listen. She is an absolute rockstar and I could not ask for a better councilor than her.
I feel grateful to have been paired with Melissa. During our sessions, I felt heard, validated and always had something I could work towards. I benefited from her kindhearted and upstanding response to my journal entries. I have noticed a considerable improvement in my relationships and thoughts since starting. I really enjoy our time and the perspective change I have since starting therapy with Melissa.
