I defined personal values decades ago that have served as beacons in my life, both professionally and privately. Growth, integrity, vision, excellence and service are the principles that are bedrock to all of the choices I make as a psychotherapist. My approach is one that empathetically seeks to empower individuals by encouraging participation and ownership of responsibility, and instilling confidence and determination in attaining treatment goals, all within a safe, non-judgmental setting. I have worked in both medical and clinical settings serving adults, veterans, and families with issues including post-traumatic stress, grief, depression and anxiety, and addiction. As a retired military veteran, I bring a worldly perspective to my practice using an eclectic approach focused on the individual. I look forward to being of service to you in your wellness journey.

I've spoken with several therapists before and never really had a connection with any. But with Perry its different, he's like a grandfatherly figure full of warmth, a good listener, and great advice. I always feel comfortable asking to talk about things that are bothering me or if something isn't quite connecting with me, asking for a different example or advice. He respond fairly quickly to any messages I've sent between video sessions. And hes overall a great therapist and has really helped me work through my long term and short term problems.

I came to betterhelp looking for help for the devastating grief of losing my son. Perry Hudson introduced himself as a counselor back in Jan 2021 and I felt very little chance of being able to survive this horror. I am so grateful for the guidance, suggestions, calm understanding and simple patience that I have received in the past 6 months, through the tears, anger, despair, and all that my grief entails, I could always count on Perry to be a sounding board and and a safe place to land. I am now capable of moving on, feel confident for the future and am so very thankful to have had met Perry at the most difficult time of my life.

Man where to begin, Perry is the man. He is so kind and insightful and he really listens with intent to care whole heartedly about what ails you. Such a wise man, honestly after things got better for me I just enjoyed talking to him 1 on 1, not even about what my problems were but just having a nice chat with a friend. I enjoy his company very much as well as his opinion. To give him 10/10 stars would be an understatement to just how awesome this man is.

I have only had a couple of sessions with Perry so far and I am already mind blown at the things he has helped me to uncover and realize. Quite frankly I felt like I was a mess and had no one to turn to. Perry has already helped me to save my job and we are currently working on many self improvement goals that I want to conquer. Revamping certain parts of my relationship with my husband is also something we are working on and my husband is so happy that I have taken this step. I am excited for what is to come and to finally get the help and support that I have needed for a long time now. I have a lot of things to work on and with Perry’s help I am confident I can change my life for the better.
