I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience working with a wide variety of individuals. I have over 18 years of experience working with older adults and their families through the transition of life stages, and have quite a lot of experience with the challenges that come with being a caregiver. I also have many years of experience working with adults who are transitioning from college or from home into the next phase of their life, as well as with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and other persistent mental health challenges.
My counseling style is warm, supportive and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I will never judge you. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and solution focused counseling. We will be collaborative partners in identifying your own goals and strengths so that you can start feeling like your best self.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Allison is great! She's an excellent listener, very empathetic, and asks me really great questions to help me get more in touch with what I'm experiencing. She also shares good coping strategies for getting through tough times.
Alison has been wonderful to work with over the last few months. Having someone really listen and work with me on my anxiety helped me feel normal, even with our hectic lives. I highly recommend her to someone not feeling themselves looking for guidance on steps to slow down and focus on yourself and your needs.
Alison's warm, compassionate therapy style was exactly what I needed to get through a difficult time period in my life. I will always be grateful for her support and wisdom. She is the best therapist I've had.
Alison helped me with my ESA Letter for housing and also my SAP appeal Letter. She was willing and very helpful. I could not thank her enough for allowing these changes in my life to come much easier to me. God bless
