Hello! My name is Elizabeth Julian Smith. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from the state of Texas. I attended the Lamar University. You are so brave and strong in reaching out to a counselor. We will walk together on this journey of total wellness. I tell clients we are not going to learn how to just "get over it". We are going to learn to go through it together. I have had experience in anxiety, stress, life planning, depression, and relationship conflicts. I practice Person Centered, CBT, Solution Focused, but I like to tailor my theoretical approach to what my clients need, I am open minded and would like you to feel comfortable in sharing your personal content. I have experience in counseling with all ages. Counseling is a partnership between all parties. I would love to work with you on your life's journey.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Liz is always so kind and respectful and I feel like she really listens. She follows up on the smallest of details and offhand comments that I make in our sessions and I don’t feel like I just have to go back over my whole life story each time we talk. She does her best to work with my schedule and is always understanding when I have to change things up. I cannot say enough good things about her!

The best counselor you could ask for! Makes you feel as though your at home and completely relaxed. She builds a relationship with you as the sessions go on, but only based off your own comfortability. Very respectful and someone you can really rely on for help!
