Out of the thousands of therapists on betterhelp.com, why should you choose Dr. John Millerman?

Hello,

My name is John Millerman, and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in Texas with decades of experience working with people just like you. They are anxious, or phobic, maybe even suffering from panic attacks. Many have been depressed, feeling hopeless and helpless. It's not unusual for me to work with people who feel confused, lost, adrift in a sea of uncertainty. Some have been seeking new direction for their lives, and some had marital issues.

My greatest interest lies in your present and your future. I'm not interested in "mucking" around in your past--unless that's what you want me to do. As a result, I use a combination of two approaches to counseling--cognitive behavioral therapy and positive psychology.

After attentively listening to you and learning a bit about you, I will want us to explore your strengths and values so we can bring those to bear on the resolution of the issues you are facing. I use a straight-forward, online questionnaire that identifies your"signature" strengths and values. We then begin to discuss your issues in the light of these strengths and talk about how you can develop strategies designed to apply your strengths to these issues. I'll teach you how to evaluate the quality of your thinking and be sure you're thinking objectively, versus emotionally, about issues. You will also learn how to spot "thinking errors" and vanquish those from your mind, so you can have a strong sense of self-worth. If you stay with me, you'll come away from counseling with a greater sense of who you are, a sense of self-confidence and strong self-esteem, and a set of tools to use for addressing most any challenge in your life. In short, you will learn to flourish and to be "all that you can be."

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Doctor Millerman is the first therapist I’ve spoken to that is engaging with me. All others I’ve tried are usually so quieting it makes me feel as though I’m being judged. We volley back on forth over the topic of the day and it makes me feel like progress is being made. I most certainly recommend him to anyone looking to do the work to be your best person.
