I had Kolton as my therapist for almost a year. In those months, he listened, gave great advice, and reaffirmed that I was making great decisions. He was always great at giving advice and I would not be where I am without his guidance. Thanks Kolton!

Hi, my name is Kolton and I am a Licensed Psychological Counselor. My role is one of an advocate, supporter, coach, and listener. I do not have all the answers, but I will do my best to help you figure out what the unique answers are for you. A passion of mine is helping others and I believe that each person has their own unique experience along their journey in life. Sometimes that journey is tough and we meet roadblocks……Counseling is a great way to sort through a situation or just a way to seek support from an un-biased listener.

My approach allows you to be in the driver’s seat. There are times where we may take a hands-on approach, and there are times where we may just talk through it. I have developed a passion for supporting adolescents, teenagers, and young adults in navigating areas from the LGBTQIA+ community, to future Career/College aspirations. In addition, I have experience in couple, family, and drug/alcohol abuse counseling. My views are that you are an individual person with unique experiences that are unlike another’s. Therefore, it is not my role to judge or provide you my opinion, but simply to provide the support you seek.

As a professional disclosure, I have a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I am also a Licensed Psychological Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. It takes so much strength to seek outside support and please know that you will be met with respect, regard, and the upmost decency during this experience.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
