Cairn Counseling
We are all on a journey. Sometimes you can feel like you’ve hit a dead end or are at a crossroad unsure how to move forward. Cairns mark the trail just as therapy can help you find your path to inner wisdom, growth, and peace. Our task together is to develop the skills needed to navigate the terrain and weather the storms as we also discover joy in the moments along the way.
I earned my BFA from Boston University. Following a year in the Americorps program, City Year Boston, I had a period of work in domestic violence services. These experiences led to a desire to return to school to earn my dual graduate degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
I began my career working as an individual therapist at an intensive residential program for boys in Massachusetts. I honed my skills in developing therapeutic relationships and leading group therapy.
Then for 15 years I worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. I had roles as a program coordinator conducting art therapy and psychotherapy groups while I worked with a dedicated treatment team. I provided individual and group therapy along with case management for the LGBTQ Program. Additionally I provided individual and group counseling in an Adult Partial Hospitalization Program.
The next step in my own journey is to follow my dream to open a private practice and provide Individual therapy in my community that is Inclusive, Creative, Experiential, and Compassionate.
I bring my curiosity and hopefulness to this journey. Together we will discover your path to inner wisdom, growth, and peace.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
