I have gone to other therapists over the years but never felt the connection that I do with Dr. Hood! The first time I had my session with her, I knew she was the perfect one for me. She has helped me more than I thought or realized she would. My mind has been open to all the new change and I feel like I am becoming more and more myself. Though still in the beginnings of my therapy journey, Dr. Hood has made a nearly immediate impact on my life. She takes the time to listen to concerns, strengths, and weaknesses and builds thought provoking/challenging conversations upon them. Dr. Hood provides insight and reassurance that gives me confidence in my abilities. Her style of therapy makes me feel like I am more than a diagnosis or list of symptoms, and that I am able to build skills to work through my struggles. Plus, she has a really cute dog that makes guest appearances through video chat.
I was able to breathe a sigh of relief during my first meeting with Dr Hood. She got it....she got me...and gave me confidence in her ability to guide me through this journey of doing much needed work.

She is phenomenal! We worked together for a year and she was always transparent and supportive. I feel comfortable after a year of successful sessions to have reached my therapy goals with her by my side! She gave me all the tools I need for my toolbox to help me troubleshoot areas that might be triggers in my path in the future. If I come across a time I may need to re-enter therapy, I plan to do with Dr. Hood! Thank you for everything!
