Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She seems to really understand what I want out of this, and is very obviously working toward that goal
Seems to care and is taking time to listen and get to know me. Will continue session for a little longer before making final determination.
I have only spoken with Alyson three times but I already feel comfortable and at ease with her. She is really helping me manage my emotions and communication skills
- Understanding and has a calm approach which relaxes me
I have only had a few sessions with Alyson, and she has already become such a fortress in my mental wellness journey. Her background in community organizing and crisis counseling equips her to offer a grounded and objective point of view, while simultaneously being a safe space for me to voice anything that I need to work through. She offers pertinent resources, extremely helpful advice, and is an excellent listener. Our sessions have given me so much solace.

Amazing...thank you Alyson!
Alyson has been great so far. She is very intuitive and is able to put words to what I am feeling that I am unable to articulate. She listens as well as teaches which is a great combination for me.
Alyson has been very helpful so far, our discussions and the supplementary material she sends me have been useful in understanding myself better.
