Hello,
I am a graduate of Marshall University with an Educational Specialist degree in Counseling. I am also a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Approved Licensed Professional Supervisor(ALPS) in West Virginia. I have over 25 years of experience working with children, teens and young adults. I continue to attend conferences and am always seeking to learn new techniques to better assist my clients. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and career challenges.
My counseling approach is a combination of humanistic and reality solution therapy. I believe in the goodness of all people and like to place emphasis on the client's self-growth and self-actualization. Through genuine care and compassion, I utilize a variety of approaches to help clients find meaning in their lives by focusing on free will, self-determination and taking responsibility.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I find Better Help and Debbie McClintic very helpful, so far. I respond verbally and through writing and Debbie had been marvelous in accommodating both. I'm looking forward to the journey ahead.
Debbie does an excellent job at creating an open and friendly environment that invites one to open up and participate in counseling. During our sessions, she has provided helpful guidance and encouragement in achieving the goals that we set, and has provided helpful exercises to practice between sessions that keep me engaged in trying to meet these goals and improve my mental health. At first I was nervous about participating in counseling, but after my first session with Debbie, I was excited to get involved in the process and was much more comfortable with participating.
Debbie McClintic is a very good listener. She really takes in what you’re are saying and responds with compassion. She always get back to me if something is going on and gives me sound advise. I’m so happy to have her as my counselor.
Debbie is awesome she has helped me so much i would recommend her to anyone
