Cody has been incredibly helpful as I navigate through major life changes and family relationships. She is an attentive listener, she helps me with accountability as well as strategies for what I’m dealing with. She gives me meaningful “homework” and has a great sense of humor. I feel very comfortable and confident in her care.

The focus of my work is to help people live life based on their values. I use a gentle, honest approach to help my clients to identify their struggles and take steps to move toward the life they want. I help my clients to improve their emotion regulation and communication skills, while empowering them to move in a valued direction. It is my philosophy that although we my not have caused our struggles we are responsible to learn and grow from them.

I specialize in mindfulness based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The current focus of my practice is those in transitions in life ( including athletes transitioning to life after athletics), people with personality struggles and those who struggle with anxiety.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Cody is a pleasure and super professional, I highly recommend her if anybody is looking for an understanding and knowledgeable therapist

Cody is like a very wise understanding friend I didn't know I had. I feel better after talking to her. She trusts my judgment about my own life and goals, and does not tell me how I should feel or ought to act, but helps me to accept my situation and understand what I actually want (not what I "should" want or what other people want me to want). So far I am very happy and relieved to have found Cody.

Cody has been fantastic. Very grateful to have had regular sessions with her throughout this entire pandemic, and the virtual sessions make it really convenient and I can have sessions in the middle of my work week. I think Cody understands me, my challenges and her counseling is helpful.

I've only had a couple sessions with Cody, but she seems to understand what I am seeking. I appreciate the counseling being more of an educational type setting, than just a venting type setting. "Emotion Education" has been vital in helping me to understand what's going on with me!

Cody has been an amazing therapist. She has helped me learn to manage my emotions, address my anxiety, and assert my boundaries. When I first came to see her, I was lashing out to the people in my life like a scared animal. She taught me the tools I needed to take control of my decisions and reactions that breathed life back into my self esteem. I appreciate her help more than I can express with words. If anyone is looking for a straightforward, no-nonsense counselor who will encourage you when appropriate and, more importantly, be upfront with you when appropriate, you couldn't pick a better person.

I’ve just recently started working with Cody; And from the start she was clear; concise; professional; and some humor to be more personable and comfortable. She understood from the start the importance of myself feeling that connection with your counselor; and She has gone above and beyond to make sure I’m heard, I understand; and addresses any concerns I have along the way. Best 1-1 counselor I’ve ever had out of my 10 years of counsilling.
