RELATIONSHIPS and SELF-ESTEEM: Online Video Counseling Sessions for California Residents
Relationships are important, meaningful, even joyous parts of our lives. And yet, relationships can be a source of anxiety, frustration, and heartache. All our relationships, from the time we're little, leave an imprint on our hearts and minds. The way we view ourselves and the world around us comes from what we learned in those early relationships.
Fast forward to the present. Sometimes it's hard to set healthy boundaries in relationships. Sometimes it's hard to communicate what you really need, in a way that the other person can truly understand. Sometimes you find yourself feeling resentful. Sometimes you feel guilty when you say "no" to someone else's request. Maybe you feel out of alignment with yourself - like your focus is going on the other person too much, and not enough on you. Maybe you find yourself bending and acquiescing too much, to what other people want.
So, ask yourself: Are you able to communicate clearly with others about what you want and need? Does it turn into an argument whey you try? Do other people (your partner) make you feel angry more often than you would like? Do you ever tolerate disrespectful or inconsiderate behavior from other people? (We teach others how to treat us, based on what we're willing to tolerate.) Do you feel yourself getting emotionally triggered by other people? Do you have a calm, rational way of managing your triggers, or do you tend to lose it? Do you find yourself jumping to conclusions about what other people are thinking and feeling?
I specialize in relationships and self-esteem. In this work, we focus on building the self-confidence and self-worth it takes to have healthy relationships. This is about personal empowerment and emotional growth. It's about uncovering old, outdated belief systems that undermine relationship success, and replacing them with new empowered and confident ways of being.
The results lead to a boost in self-esteem, self-worth, self-confidence, and self-love. Anxiety and depression drop down, and confidence, productivity, and a sense of well-being rise up. When the relationship with the Self improves, relationships with others improve. It all starts with you. If you show up, ready to get to work, ready to focus on your Self and your truth, then you ought to get great results from this work. I'll be your emotional support partner, and we'll get things done.
My coaching/counseling practice supports inclusion and diversity. To quote a popular meme: love is love, black lives matter, climate change is real, immigrants make America great, and women's rights are human rights.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Michelle is incredibly insightful. She shines a flashlight into unexplored areas, and does so gracefully. She is by far the best therapist I have had. It always feels like she is understanding what I am saying, and can track it to something deeper.
I've tried a couple of therapists before without seeing much benefit, but Michelle has truly been great. She's extremely insightful and offers solid, actionable advice. Pretty much everything she tells me is spot on, and for that I'm extremely thankful. I highly recommend Michelle.
